Iran has suffered so much death and destruction on top decades of economic sanctions, regressing it's economy just because Iranian leadership wanted a "peaceful nuclear program".

Was it really worth it?

Other nations in the Gulf (Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain) who have bothered with a "peaceful nuclear program" have become internationally recognised marvels.
