I think this is a bad calculation by the Iranians at this time. This is exactly what Netanyahu wanted to happen.

The focus should be converting Israel to a weakened and crippled state by continued attacks.

If the US was attacking Iran continuously that would be different.

If there's no punitve action to stop Isreal soon then Khamenai is most probably to delegate this authority (Willingly or unwillingly) to initiate ceasefire.

Closing strait for longer period will stop all the sympathies towards Iran as it will directly hit the common people. The way Israeli drons and jets are attacking in cities of Iran, it's evident that Iran have lost AD capabilities, with all Spy settlite of US, Israel and EU glued to Iran, they're not in position to fire missiles in number as they did on first day.

Putin will use Iran as levrage to negotiate over Ukrine and will sell Iran on proper price, China never gets involved directly, plus I think Iran don't have any experience of Chinese platform (I may be wrong as I stopped following defence topics).

Long war will have huge impact on Isreal economy but Jews have deep pockets and strong lobbies to make US & Euorpe pay the bills, however it will be fatel for Iranian economy and regime as well, Economic sitution of Irainan people have been drasttically detioriated in last few years and I have seen first hand that people have to do multiple works to cover their monthly expenses. I don't think they will be able to endure it for long.

So, I have feeling that regime will happily accept if war is stopped and gurantees of not going for regime change are given. Let's see if US is interested in installing his puppet now or ready to extract maximum beneifts at this stage and put the regime change goal on pending for now.

If Iran has resort to "Symbolic" attacks than I will retrite my understanding of the situation that Iranian leadrship is looking for deal where compaign against them stops and US don't push for Regime Change (That if Khamanei still have control, otherwise current goverment may sideline him)

Americans are clearly demanding surrender and regime change and Israelis wont stop their attacks , Saudis Qataris, Egyptians and Jordanian leaders are getting excited and rooting for team Israel.

when Iran is Balkanized and loses the grip internally then BLA and its affiliates will increase the scale of their attacks on both sides of borders. Pakistan will need to bring its forces to Iranian borders and do something about insurgency to discourage wannabe opportunists.

I agree. Iran needed an off ramp with the Americans and have decided to continue to focus on Israel.

The question is will the Americans accept that or continue their attacks? If Americans continue their attacks because Iran continuation of attacks on Israel, then Iran will have escalate it's attack on GCC munafiqs.

I wonder if the Americans working with Israel would actually like to see an Iran versus GCC war and this is actually part of a wider plan. It's not like they have any love for the shiny tall building GCC. Interesting to see how this develops.

As predicted the response was symbolic, my guess is that the damage (if any) will be mild. Mild enough that big chance the U.S. doesn't even respond to this. Iran gets to say they retaliated and the U.S. gets to say they accomplished their mission and the Iranian response was insignificant. Iran keeps from getting the U.S. further involved but gets to tell the government's supporters that they did something.
