Iranian minister went to China for SCO meeting & likely assistance against any future western aggression.
What does that have to do with anything now? Why are you opening an irrelevant dialogue to your already long, boring dialogue?
There was no mutual defence clause. This was explicitly stated by both parties after January signing. It doesn't exclude military alliance but it doesn't include it either. One can only speak about good faith relations based on the agreement for expecting Russian aid. But Iran didn't show good faith either by delaying the ratification.
There is. Even Wikipedia mentions it. Unless you think someone in India knows about this deal better than an Iranian. It's been in newspapers forever. An agreement is not signed based on good faith and it is not up to an Indian to determine whether it's been in good faith or not.
From Wikipedia: The agreement is designed to govern relations between
Russia and
Iran for the next 20 years, covering various areas including
defense, counter-terrorism, energy, finance, and culture.
Also, from Reuters, quoting Sergey Lavrov:

India has sent lots of black market spare parts for Russian Airbus & Boeing planes, semiconductor chips etc. Iran arming Russia was not too significant as it was just basic drone made from open market supplies. Iran didn't agree for its people to fight in Russia like the North Koreans who actually sent some of the soldiers to fight. Selling low technology drones is not really something to boast as critical assistance.
That's probably all that India can do anyway. India can hardly produce anything of quality to send to Russia to begin with. Iran on the other hand exported cutting-edge high-tech gas turbines and overhauled Russian passenger aircrafts for Russia.
Pakistan humiliated India in a way that is going to be remembered for decades. Obviously, that negatively impacts the impression of India's defense industries around the world. Indians are also too physically weak to be sent to fight in any war. Short statured, small framed and weak unfortunately.
Secondary sanctions or any form of sanctions on China will ruin USA. If USA cuts its trade with China, USA will collapse but China will remain. It is in USA's interest to not sanction China.
The only thing that China may care for is Arab relations as Arabs are a much bigger oil supplier to China than Iran. Arabs are even willing to increase oil output to compensate for any loss of Iranian oil. Unless Iran manages to supply much higher quantities of oil than its current 1.5MBpd, China or anyone else can't ignore Arabs in favour of Iran.
It appears that OPEC increasing oil supplies in recent months was due to a deal struck with USA & Israel to attack Iran. This is likely the reason why Russia, China and others chose to keep quiet. All of them have better relations with Arabs than with Iran
Secondary sanctions exist, like it or not, and OFAC is enforcing them. A lot of Chinese countries do follow these sanctions. Even Chinese banks follow these sanctions against Iranian individuals unfortunately.
Arabs are US-strategic allies. The US has tremendous amount of influence over Arab oil output and China cannot change that anytime soon. It is the Arab oil that is keeping the US dollar as the world's leading currency. But I don't disagree with this part of your argument and I had already mentioned it before.
