PA MLRS, Self Propelled and towed artillery [BM-11, Fatah-I GMLRS, Fatah-II] - News, Updates & Discussions

@falcon34 it is my understanding that the 250 km Fatah-2 GMLRS is of the same dia as Fatah-1 missile but longer in length.

So 140 km range missiles of Fatah-1 can not be replaced with 250 km Fatah-2 GMLRS without extending the tubes. This will add extra load (about 5 tonnes) which may effect speed, performance, or range of the vehicle. I believe that reduce number of launch tubes to 6 and extending them to accommodate the extra missile length will work out.

So basically a Fatah-2 launcher with 250 km missiles and 6 tubes/missiles per vehicle.

I found this. It's indeed a good news. If it's dia is same as F-1 then I don't believe there is any need for 140 km Fatah-1.

Suddenly we have 250 km Fatah-1 , and 450 km Fatah-3 (or should now call 2).

A quick Google search threw the following out.
"The Pakistan's Fatah-1 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMRL) is equipped with a 350-450 kg warhead. It is a relatively new system, with production beginning in 2022. The Fatah-1 is a 300mm caliber rocket with a range of up to 140 km, and it utilizes inertial navigation system (INS) with GPS for guidance. "

So, I think that Fatah GMRL with 250Km range and 150Kg warhead is the same as the current Fatah-1 with 140 Km range and 350Kg warhead.

Or their jets went down on 10th in sirinagar. Indians were cheering and than everything went silent
My theory is that their own SAM's might have shot down their fighters

Also i wonder if we did an air raid how successful it was, might have needed to keep tight lipped because of ceasefire condition maybe and also to de-escalate

There was mention of foreign combatants in sirinagar connect the dots

Less evidence means indians got hit pretty bad, PAF claim of dropping massive tonnage on Indian targets, as @Panzerkiel said there was a second wave of attacks.
Last time not targets were hit and it was just to show capabilities this time they got hit, I am sure PAF and PA as the footage.
I mean can't ISPR pay for Chinese Mizar Vision Imagery of all confirmed hits

Well it's a private satellite imagery firm. They released couple of satellite images of PAF bases after indian strikes. And guess who paid for those images.

What is this Chinese Mizar Vision Imagery???
It is possible we will get the proper images MUCH later. Recall how long after 27th February 2019 the video footage of the Swift Retort strikes were released. For some reason PAF & PA wait months and release the footage before an audience of foreign defence attachés.
On Srinagar: NDTV defense correspondent Shiv Aroor was in Srinagar and sent a "live" message describing a dog fight over Srinagar with at least two planes shot down which he claimed (;obviously) were Pakistani

People fail to understand the wider context that war is 50% capabilities of systems, and then 50% economics. Having cost-effective & affordable solutions is extremely important or high-spec weapons are practically useless in a prolonged engagement.

Then it comes down to integrated tactical planning and strategy.

Look at Iran, they’re exporting oil, building leverage, if sanctions are lifted, they can become fifth largest economy in Middle East. Meanwhile, we’re sending unskilled labor to the Gulf just to keep remittances flowing. It’s sad to say, but Pakistan’s economy runs on IMF loans and the hard-earned money of overseas Pakistanis. No real industry, no real productivity. And the worst part? The establishment let our agricultural sector crumble. We used to feed ourselves, now we rely on imports for basics.

Bottom line is that we can’t fight a long term war with a broken economy. We’ve got maybe a few months’ worth of reserves to hold up under pressure. After that, it’s downhill, any prolonged conflict would drag us 20 years backward. No amount of hero speeches can replace solid planning and national strength.

But there is compromise on the warhead size. We have all seen some of Iranian missiles traveling 1500+ km to Israel only to make a dent. It was later when they started firing missiles with heavy warhead, we actually started enjoying the fight.

If you want the 250 km range and 300+ kg warhead, you will have to extend the missiles with boosters and it will require modifying tubes on the launcher.
