Its interesting that the sitting and previous Mayors performed so poorly that they discredited mainstream Democrats. Eric Adams in particular is shamelessly corrupt. De Blasio was not corrupt but didnt do a good job.

They just paved the way for the end of the status quo democrat party, and Mamdani has the potential to be one of the leaders of the New Democrat party.

The alternative is to tax corporate gains directly from the corporation, which will then reduce the market and make companies invest less, which means less revenue, and less employment.

You can say that's unfair, but this is integral part of accounting.

Most of the profits of mid to big corporations goes to stock buybacks, dividend payout, executive compensation and marketing. Only about 20% is reinvested back into the business.

This is the same lazy lie pharma companies peddle for pricing their drugs so exorbitantly, when they only spend less than 10% of their profits in R&D.
