Türkiye - Azerbaijan | Strategic Partnership, Regional Alliance, Military Cooperation - News & Updates

By the clergy 🤣
Oh that's why I got a dumb meme pic by my Armenian friend saying something about Pashinyan "showing his penis" to the Archbishop. Didn't understand,I was like whatever and deleted it.

I don't understand the Armenian position on this. They really seem to want another war.

I don't think there will be a war, I was hearing they were close to a deal after Pashinyan visited Turkey.

This was a week ago and the talks had a break thru few days ago. Armenia has allied itself with Turkey. The Zangizur corridor is secured with Armenia´s blessing which is why Russia got some how pissed and Iran to some extent it was solely about the deal but now they have come to terms with it and cooled down especially Russia it was just the initial shock of losing Armenia. The Europeans delivered Armenia to Turkey which Iran and Russia were never expecting they were caught off guard

Turkish sources didn't confirm this rumour.

I saw Azeri sources speaking on it.

There is speculation that Azerbaijan and Türkiye are considering the inclusion of a US company to oversee the trnasit of goods in this new corridor, ensuring that a new government in Armenia, which may turn anti-Turkish or anti-Azeri, does not interfere with the agreement. Bascially, they try to up the stakes for Eriwan.

What are your thoughts?

I don't like the idea of any extraregional actor other than maybe a neutral actor like a swiss company operating in the caucasus. Its going to be a direct challenge to the 3+3 format for caucasus affairs.

would be a complete and total disaster to bring the USA into this. If the americans come in they will only cause problems for Turkiye.

Zangizur is finally happening

“The President of Turkey touched upon the issue of unblocking transport communications today, using the term 'corridor', and noted that Armenia is taking a more flexible approach to the matter in order to participate in economic integration. How would you comment on this?”

In response, Badalyan said: “Armenia has been and remains interested in expanding regional connectivity and economic development. It is with this understanding that the Republic of Armenia has proposed the Crossroads of Peace initiative and specific ideas, solutions, and constructive proposals aligned with this vision. In our view, these approaches can yield mutually beneficial outcomes both for the countries in the region and for partners interested in developing a wider communication network. As before, the Republic of Armenia’s approach to unblocking regional transport infrastructure is based on fundamental principles: respect for sovereignty, national jurisdiction over communication routes, and, as is known, does not imply any alternative logic. Discussions with interested partners are ongoing.”
