Its very simple to assess the situation yourself. If any world media is portraying a certain group or a nation as "bad" and a war is looming in the context, we know what is happening. That's 5th generation warfare at play, a narrative is being made.

If there is intelligence based news that doesn't start a conflict and just dies down in a few days. That's when you know the news was source based. Not to start a war or conflict, just a regular news without blaming, defaming or building a narrative against a group of people or a country.

I am sure someone would have captured a screenshot of the original document and which press release are you referring to? Someone suggested a promotional video?

Even the initial post in this very thread that was posted on 23 March 2024 is based on the commentary made during the show claiming J-31s will be joining the air force soon.

When they would return with jets you will see it yourself. Everyone knows this our pilots are getting trained there you want to remain in denial I can do nothing about it.

I obviously would love to see J-35s inducted into PAF. Why wouldn't I or any other Pakistani. It'll be one of the best things for me to witness in my lifetime.

However, when people used to claim more F-16s were coming, F-35s or even Su-35s based on "trust me bro", and none of them materialised, so you can understand my skepticism.

No such mention of J-31s but someone started a claim on twitter later on referring to this particular ceremony and it spread like wildfire. People didn't even bother to double check authenticity of the claim but it got discussed to death.

Great point, I feel the same, I would rather wait till 2032+ and then buy upgraded J35s, we can also spend the current budget on more Jf17 block 3s and J10CEs, all F7PGs and Mirages can be retired and we finally can move towards 5th generation.

Leakages are usually done through the media.

I doubt it when ISPR wants to leak a secret, Zarvan and MastanKhan immediately come to their minds, otherwise Zarvan and MastanKhan wouldn't have spent years trying to convince everyone that they are military's Chosen Ones.

No one knows why they scrubbed it.

But I don't think the PAF has walked back on it either as it's the only offensive platform available to the PAF, and - in my opinion - the PAF wants to build dedicated offensive capabilities.

In fact, retired ACM Sohail Aman hinted towards the idea as well, with airpower moving into a strategic asset rather than a purely defensive or tactical one.

The dedicated offensive capability would center on the J-35AE, further supported by UCAVs (maybe Kizilelma) and loitering munitions/decoys (KaGeM V3, etc).

I think PAF knows something that most don't.....they would rather wait for complete package maturation before inducting.....however, the same is being felt by India which has immediate choice and they will definitely do another, 5-10 times bigger Pahalgam false flag to trigger a war again before J-35s arrive........this inter-war period is what PAF is probably worried about........

Ofcourse this depends a lot on China and how it perceives India.....Indians have already called China the enemy.......

I saw this clip at the time as I’m sure others did. He definitely said ‘foundation had been laid’, ‘near future’ etc, no doubt about it. While that in no way means delivery is imminent, I have no idea where this whole, he never said it thing has just popped up from.

I think China is now producing four J-20s per month. They could do same for J-35.

48 J-20s per year is too low for China's industrial might and air force needs.

By the way you are confusing J-20 production rate with J-35. The 4 per month is anticipated production rate of J-35. I believe for J-20 they already achieved 8 per month (96 per year rate).
