Once the IA Deputy Chief starts mentioning China+Pakistan IMO it basically implies they have given up. Historically speaking, they didn't take any counter action against China after 1962 defeat or after Galwan debacle.or continous salami slicing of their lands. Anyway, it's a great way to increase defense spending by importing from outside, which doesn't fail to enrich the generals and Modi's closest patrons....

The latter part is BS. The country would be very different if that were the case. We have a dead aimless nation.

You're forgetting what happened when Imran Khan was ousted, people openly showed their disapproval of the army. And no matter who's in power, there's a very hefty amount of cynicism and lack of faith in the political leadership. In elections, it seems it's always voting for the least worst choice. Mind you, it's no different in most western democracies either.
