And it's time now for AZ to date himself a little more.

As @Fatman17 knows, I'm a Pittsburgh sports fan through and through. Back in the day, I had the opportunity to attend one of the final games in the old Forbes Field and the following spring, one of the opening week home games in the then brand new Three Rivers Stadium.

This year is out due to some move-related projects so next year it is planned to go to Wiliamsport for the annual Little League World Series.

Can you elaborate for the less knowledgeable? What turmoil in 60s? Which racial tensions?
 
Had mentioned I grew up hunting and fishing. Having parents and grandparents who went through the Depression, whatever we harvested we ate. And, we ate very well. Pheasant, grouse, duck, rabbits, deer.

In Pennsylvania, the opening day of deer season is the first Monday after Thanksgiving. Needless to say, the state would literally shut down, schools would be missing a lot of the male pupils, etc. Now, lol, you have to love it, the first day of deer season is a state holiday according to my coworkers in Mechanicsburg.

Wish you all the Best. Talking about little league l once umpired a local little league game organised by the Foster City Rec dept. I blew a call at 2nd base and the girls were after me screaming abuse. I was in shock. Now I know how major Leaguers feel when a ump blows a call. That was my first and last umpiring stint anywhere. 😆

If you don't mind, I would like to address your excellent question maybe tomorrow. It's coming up on 2200 my time and I've been up since 0430. So it's been a long day. I'm about to head off to bed.

I'll post some relevant examples from that era to give you a better understanding.
