the koreans are angry. very angry. they complain they are US security ally but pay more tarifs than Vietnam. the MAGA spent more time in negotiating trade deal with Vietnam than them. If you had read what I wrote you wouldn't be asking this question. I had said "Chinese client states in south east Asia".

And no, I obviously don't consider South Korea and Japan to be Chinese client states. Both are in active negotiations and I am sure both will have some sort of a deal soon. Japan, in particular, has been constrained by their Upper House election.

Trump hasn't accomplished a single trade deal so far, except for a temporary truce with China. Even America's allies, the EU, Japan, South Korea, India, etc. have rejected America's trade deals.
