If it's true the PAF showed restraint then thats the dumbest thing they could have done, if shooting down 6 jets demoralized them to the point of grounding their airforce imagin the effect of the shooting down of 10 or 15 jets would have had.

Nations fighting, especially big Nations, cannot be considered by the logic of the street fighting, or gang fighting .... obviously

Actually, here is where I can give the Iranians credit, they seem to understand this idea much more, in comparison Pakistanis are toddlers who need instant gratification.

Honestly, yes.

The ceasefire would have come into effect even if we had shot down 15-20 jets because India cannot afford to dent its growing economy by a short war which could turn nuclear and result in destruction of its economic hubs.

We missed the chance and now these birds will keep flying, waiting for the next misadventure.

My intuition says that the next time, We might not be as lucky as were in the past 2 conflicts. We boasted a lot about our capabilities and gave them a chance to assess their shortcomings by highlighting ourselves, all for showoff.

My understanding is the DG ispr presentation suggested that the restraint was shown based on the locks they had in, not that the Indian air force was just sitting there to be taken out, not quite that much


Also I don't believe that other capability was taken out such as missiles, right?


So you have to assume if for example 7 or 9 Rafael's were taken out, let's just imagine , what does India do?

Nothing more than what they already did, they have no more stomach for an all out war any more than we do, plus it would have had demoralizing effect in the entire Indian military command.

It's not just a question of India and Pakistan having the stomach, clearly outside powers will have their own perception of this war

Supposing Pakistan defangs Indian air force, how do you think the USA reacts?

You want Pak to behave as if happy to become north Korea?

The points made on this forum sometimes are so nonsensical, why the **** would the US give a shit if Pakistan shot down 5 jets or 15?
They will only intervene if seems like the conflict will escalate to an all out war.
