Many months ago, in the Gaza war thread, you had given example of how much the Labor Party in the UK also supported Israel but it was still a better choice then the Conservative Party when it came to the Israel policy. And however small the improvement was, it was still an improvement in the UK's foreign policy in the Middle East.
But political idiots here couldn't understand that Biden was not reflective of the entire Democratic Party, they could not understand that a VP generally stands behind his/her President, they could not understand that in an election year, very few dare to challenge AIPAC, they were too blind to see that as many as 19 out of 50 odd US Senators, which were ALL Democrats, voted to stop arms sales or some kind of curbs on Israel during the Gaza war, they couldn't follow basic politics that the Republicans and indeed the Israelis were supporting Ms. 0.4% voted Dr. Jill Stein to divide the pro Palestinian/Democratic vote. The list is long of the astonishing lack of understanding of the American politics and it is the American politics which is Israel's greatest strength! And now what we have might as well be Netanyahu himself sitting in the White House!
How many times I have said above things in the last 18+ months! We work with what we have. Not wish for pie in the sky.
Still, you have to agree the WH is but one piece of the puzzle. It is in the halls of Sodomy and Gonorrhea, which you know as the House and the Senate, where the real corruption lays. And on both sides of the aisle.

Everyone knows who's vulnerable, everyone knows who's corrupt, everyone knows who's easily bought, and, who is easily silenced. You have to really buck the party line before they kick you out of the club.

Get rid of the career politicians and you'll see change take place. Will it be for the better? Who knows? But, using the current "change" as I've seen it, what have we got to lose?

Now, with respect, you are sounding like most of the Pakistani bloggers with lazy thinking, by bringing 'we'. I have been here to see plenty of 'we', starting with Ross Perot 1992. It all sounds so great but who's going to bell the cat?? The only possible 'we' is people voting by their pocket books and don't fall for the anti 'woke' agenda or fall for the 'family values' or the made up social issues. The 90s are long gone and the mantra of 'family values' should have died down by now; you know, 'it is the economy, stupid!' [I am not calling you that!]. But here we have even Pakistani Americans liberally using anti 'woke' sentiments.

Quoted here is about 20 minutes of a video where Greg Stoker talks about how the Republicans have masterfully used culture wars to advance their $$$ agenda and also mentions that while both political parties are in bed with the Military Industrial Complex, one is far more--thus he tries to clarify the lazy thinking prevalent in this forum which draws a false 50-50 parallel between the two parties.
@EugeneP may also find it interesting.

As I spend more time on this forum, am beginning to question just how deep some of the thinking really is.

What's wrong with being anti-woke and for family values? You know I am in my mid-60s and now retired. That also means my parents were children raised during The Great Depression. So what I learned from them and certainly my grandparents is without doubt different from what someone in their 20s is learning from their parents and grandparents. Why? Because, I happen to be that grandparent now; who was once the grandchild. All I can do is pass on the values I learned and hope they continue with that. If not, so be it. It is their choice.

You also know I am very conservative in nature. I don't subscribe to pushing wokeness down my throat or the subliminal messaging in just about everything now that is counter to the values I grew up with.

I have watched the infiltration for a long time. Remember, I was born and raised here. With respect, you are an import. Yet, you bring with you a different point of view on things because of where you come from as well as your background.

I'll say it again, as a country, we need to get rid of the career politicians. That's where the problem is. We also need to address the teacher's unions. I've nothing against teachers. What I am against is the agenda many are pushing because that is what their union masters want. If you still find that to be lazy thinking, please do let me know. I'll be content with ignoring your posts this point forward.

What's that have to do with anything?

I mean, tell me what is the percentage of a person who pays off a porn star after sleeping with her? I bet 99% of the population don't do that...........

What is illegal about paying off a porn star ?

Some would call that prostitution then again, a porn star is that regardless.

In this case, IIRC, it was the manner in how Cohen and Trump's accountants handled the payment. Worse, it took a substantial leap of mental gymnastics on the part of Bragg to make a case out of it when the feds, who happen to be better than him, had already passed on it.

But, back to the subject at hand; I'm convinced there are forces at work out there that are keeping the Administration from releasing it.

The basic point is simple -
In USA if you are wealthy you have options for females. It beats me why anyone would knowingly get involved with a slimeball like Epstein

I will grant you this if Epstein was involved with intelligence agency all bets are off

Not so much keeping him from releasing it since Orange man doesn't like or listen to anyone that tells him what to do but he can be convince that releasing certain info could hurt the US but I don't think it is that. I still believe a deal was made that he can have all those that tried to put him in jail and had something to do with assassination attempt, which is possible that some are on Epstein list, for keeping the list classified. Comey and Brennan are the first sacrifice of many to come. Would a slimey democrat or political enemy of Trump rather go down as the person that lied to get Trump incarcerated or a pedo?

NY Times had a prominent article a few days ago in which it said the worry for Israel is that the Democratic Party, until recently, had 36 percent more support for Israel than for Palestinian but since the Gaza war it has totally flipped: 36 percent more support for Palestinians than for Israel. An astonishing development!!
And YOU, amongst very few here, along with @hussain0216 , know my views for the last 18+ months: Work with the Democratic Party and don't be blinded by Biden's personal Zionism. Look at which party's Senators are STILL targeting Israel despite the huge political risks posed by AIPAC.
But unfortunately, the change is coming too late in America. Netanyahu is going to MILK this presidency over the next 3 years. And related to this thread: Very likely there is something in the Epstein Files against Trump and/or his close associates, to be used by the Israelis.

I think the American political landscape may coalesce around three parties:
  • Bernie bros, AOC on the left,
  • MAGA on the right, and
  • A combined Dem/GOP party in the middle.
Ostensibly, that combined party might represent the ideological center but I don't know how the US population would be split among those parties.
