Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Sorry but wahabi and salafi are very different from Sunni.

yeah they aren't, but they get used as proxy prerogative term for Sunnis.

Someone can play the same cute game and use prerogative terms like Sabai, or Batini or Rafidi or Tashayyu ghali or Ghulati there are plenty of terms for fringe/extreme movements amongst the Shia. But then give the person plausible deniability, "See I didn't say Shia or all Shias" "I only meant this specific group".

You know how many times its been used prerogatively against me? And I don't even subscribe to the Najdi dawah, I'm Hanafi, and I've clarified that on several occasions. That just makes it clear its getting used as a proxy term. And most of the time, its not even in a theological discussion, just prerogatively used for anyone supportive of the Syrian govt or opposed to some of Iran's policies in the region.

I don't use it as a proxy for Sunni and neither does anybody else I know. Why would they ? Wahhabi and Salafi mouthbreathers have shed as much Sunni blood as they have shed Shia blood. They only people they never attack are Jews.

Oh they definitely do. Its been used by some Iranian commentators, used in quite a sectarian manner, where they seem to be reliving some sort of delusion of "fighting the ummayads" and whatnot.

The funniest thing I have been called was by a poster called @lulappled or something.. He used the term ´´Hussian slayer´´

He made me laugh out loud I didn´t report him or anything. He geninuely made me laugh it was so outlandish I even liked that post for the laughter it brought me

We are going OT, but Umayyads were a specific dynasty and responsible for Karbala and subsequent persecution of Prophets family, so that's why they are despised by Shia. I mean you cannot just assume every single criticism of a person or group who also happens to be Sunni is an attack on Sunnis as a whole.

Saddam Hussein was a very bad person , is condemning him same as condemning Sunnis ? Nope.

Impossible, wahabis are a small sect invented by some proto-terrorists (which led to todays ISIS and other evils) who attacked and sacked Karbala in 1802, massacring many inhabitants there.

It's a new weird invention that has nothing to do with Sunnism although they invested (and keep doing so) heavily in wahabizing wherever Sunnis (sufis) exist. It's comparable to a parasite which tries to feed from the healthy host while damaging it internally.

No absolutely report them, they won't look the other way when someone makes a comment against them. thats what I've learned, they will complain for the smallest slight but then be completely out of pocket in other circumstances going the other way.

Isn't that what the Anti Iranian Wilayah Al Faqih Shia say?

anyway, back to the original point, I mean that sort of prerogative terminology has been used against me, and I don't subscribe to that manhaj, hell the 1st wave Najdi Dawah IMO are outright Khawarij, but yet, that term has been used against Mainstream Orthodox Sunnis. So clearly its a prerogative term.

What biggotry? They are shaving, plucking someones moustache by force, making use/abuse of a hadith, filming it to humiliate that person.

If they don't want to adapt, it's a problem from human POV, not shia POV. That's why I said they should use swords and camels in wars, not guns, tanks and drones because they want to literally follow rules of 1400 years ago and don't tolerate other views.
I remember when the Assadists used to do the same with Sunnis, pulling their beard, I hated it then and I hate it now. Dont humiliate just kill them if they are rebels and collaborating with Israel.

Wahabis are fictional entirely. There are no Wahabis it is not even a sub-sect.. The Saudis are Salafi and Madkahli Salafis.

He was just a man

How did this all start? how did it come to this?

Timeline of Events:

🔹 July 11 – Incident Occurs

  • A young Druze man, a vegetable vendor, was kidnapped, robbed, and beaten by armed Bedouin tribesmen at an illegal checkpoint on the Damascus–Suwayda highway.
  • The assailants were believed to be from Sunni Bedouin tribes aligned with pro-government militias or tolerated by local security forces.

🔹 Government Inaction

  • The Syrian government failed to intervene immediately.
  • Local sources and reports (e.g., Syria Direct, Al-Modon, and SOHR) stated that Druze leaders and civilians attempted to contact security authorities, demanding they secure the release of the kidnapped vendor and remove illegal checkpoints.
  • However, the state security services reportedly ignored or downplayed the incident.

🔹 Druze Response

  • In response to government inaction and to pressure for the man's release, Druze militias retaliated within hours:
    • They kidnapped several Bedouin tribesmen, believed to be connected to the original attackers or serving in government-backed militias.
    • These abductions were meant to force a prisoner exchange and demonstrate that the Druze community would not remain passive.

And if someone kills Al-Sharaa because of talks with Israel?
UAE leaders because supporting Israel?
And others (whom I will not mention by name due to fanboyism here) who have embassy of Israel, trade and deliver oil to them, and work on intelligence sharing?

Thats not exactly true, the najdi dawah narrative is that MIAW didn't differ in outlook compared to others in the earlier Hanabila or even Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al Qayyum, but if you look into it, there is a lot more to it that the lay salafis usually know about the movement. but thats a discussion for another time and place.

Are you seriously using ChatGPT? its not always accurate, and it leaves out many details, especially with current event matters.

So many details left off, like the literal governor of Suwaida was kidnapped by Hijri's militia, they have also killed many people before july 11th.

I think using chatgpt is in many cases better than randomly typing something/copy and pasting. I use it by adding that the answers should be objective, using multiple sources.
It's like someone asking 15 years ago: "are you seriously using google"?
