2. Pakistan (Good everywhere including has good suppliers)
3. Egypt (Good everywhere has production capacity)
4. Indonesia (Good everywhere and has good navy production)
5. KSA (Good everywhere, plus improving weapons production and has good suppliers)
6. Algeria (Good everywhere, plus strong navy, needs better supplier, involved in arms race)
7. Morocco ( Good everywhere and has good suppliers)
8. UAE ( Good everywhere, improved weapons production capacity)
9. Malaysia (Good everywhere but needs to improve it´s air force bulk)
10. Jordan (Good everywhere but has little to low population 12m which decreases them on the list)

I will list top 16 as bonus

11. Bangladesh (Has large manpower base and getting better could see them in top 10 in the next 5 years depending on their procurement, needs airforce upgrade)
12. Uzbekistan (It only lacks to improve it´s airforce I heard they will purchase J10 soon, it has population potential, plus fiercer people)
13. Kazakhstan (It also needs to improve it´s air it has SU-30s but still it needs to improve upon that otherwise overall very good army)
14. Iran (They have lost alot of tech but weak air defense and air force has sink them to 14 place but they can´t go lower due to population potential)
15. Qatar/Azerbaijan (Very solid armament both Airforce and conventional) and as for Azeribaijan they will soon jump into top 10 as Turkey is constantly selling them best stuff

Pakistan should be number-1 by all means.

- Massive size of active military and each service / and related equipment.
- 4.5 gen fighter aircrafts
- Long range air-air missiles. (PL15s) . TuAF currently has legacy AMRAAMs, not the first look first shoot capability. (they will get 120D in future)
- Pakistan has enormous Ballistic missile inventory (0 to 2750 KMs)
- Pakistan has MIRVs
- Super sonic AshMs, supersonic Air to surface missiles.
- Above all nukes of all kinds (Strategic, tactical)


Turkey is modernizing very fast, it may get to number1. but not yet.

Secondly, Iran should be in top-5. If any muslim country has a bigger BM arsenal then Pakistan that is Iran. and maybe bit better too (as its their only deterrence). Secondly, Iran has very good drone capability. Their military strategy is not traditional but based on ambush tactics, means 100s of missile boats instead of frigates etc. They can survive much longer with those tactics and has ability to strike back. Only Iran and Pakistan can do long distance strikes with their long range missiles.

Then Turkey and Iran, not sure how Indonesia, Egypt or KSA or UAE could be in the top, lol. When its foreigners running their countries and having foreign nationalities in your forces, how can u be secure? I'm not sure but i want to know how UAE, KSA can have top miliaries when KSA has 2 divisions of Pak Army for their protection?

Have any of these other militaries come or gained any positions in military exercises or competitions? Cambrian Patrol anyone?

Just watch some of the parades of these countries and compare that to the Pakistani, Turkish parades.

3- Turkey gets some Credit for their positive role in Syria 9.5/10 marks
4- Yamen for Taking on Israel in Red Sea 7.5/10 marks


Only Army which perform when needed are ranked

All other Armies are "Unproven" paper champs, same rank as Coast Guard or Police force

You don´t understand about military matters. Some countries are more heavily armed then others.

Example not many people have any idea of how well both Algeria and Morocco are armed as both countries have been in arms race for the last 20-30 years.

Pakistan is not number 1 and I would say there is a cap between Turkey and Pakistan.

UAE is called little Sparta armed to the teeth. They punch way above thier weight

There are a number of militaries in the Muslim world that are good to average, and have the equipment to carry out a sustained campaign. However experience trumps everything.
Pakistan and Egypt have fought wars, none of the others have fought a proper war in their modern history. Insurgencies and aggressive over the border ops are another way of keeping your military fined edged, and Turkey is the only other nation than Pakistan which does so regularly.
Pakistan again is the only to fight a modern war i.e. missiles, drones, aircraft engaging in BVR etc.

Sorry, but that whole "Mini Sparta of the Middle East": quote was by a US general ingratiating himself to the Emiratis.

The UAE have some seriously good kit, but like the Indians, struggle to translate this into capability.

I really do not mean to offend here, but asl many about attitude and work ethic of Emirati officers and it is not a good answer.

Well to be honest no real major conventional threats to any major Muslim country. Thoise that surround Isreal have been neautered

GCC face no major mass land armies on it's borders, same in North Africa, the whole Morrocco-Algeria thing is like women with handbags, Malaysia and Indonesia due tio location are fine. Central Asians have no argument with each other

Pakistan stands alone as the only muslim country facing a numerically larger and better equipped non muslims foe at its gates. That tends to sharpen the mind

Also explains why most of the countries on that list send their officers to Pakistan for training

a) Lack of resources
b) Using out dated world war 2 style weapons in 2025
c) Dealing with poverty , same issues which crippled Ottoman Empire their status has not changed in 100 years (except may be few countries )


Colonial Empires sold the idea of Nationalism , to smaller countries that Nationalism will bring prosperity , wealth , better life but after 100 years these countries are Poor , and Backward. 2-3 Generation have passed and they are poor

• Lebanon , just above poverty , lower middle class
• Libya , could have been rich were , made poor by outside interference

So there is a wave of poverty

Colonial Empires worked 50-100 years against Ottoman Empire to create this ideology of "Nationalism", so people don't view themselves as Muslim but as "Nationals" of some region. Separating the people , so they don't view each other as One Muslim Entity


70% Nations have mediocre military or capabilities

15% Have some weapons they refuse to fight , they are happy selling oil
