Same as where we got the $$$ to buy initially and then again in 2017 and 2020.....

Also, its a new system, no one has marketed SAAB Erieye in actual combat use as PAF did, twice.

I am sure they will be willing to give heavy discounts....PAF can purchase a used jet and then convert those....I am really interested in the capabilities of the Erieye ER.....as per their claims...it can track out to 658Km.........and track all the way down to 200ft altitude.......that capability is going to be vital to track the salvo of low flying Brahmos and CMs from India side.

Data link already exists so integrating it shouldn't be an issue.

NO, we have no plan to buy globaleye, we have just recently inducted one erieye ER on SAAB 340, and Sweden is not China that they could give us heavy discount, and installing on older regional jets can take lots of time and resources ($$$) just like we are in the process of integrating different systems on our upcoming MPA SEA SULTAN

It lot easier to buy brand new KJ-500/700 from China rather than buying globaleye

I did not know that we have Erieye ER in operation.......is it in addition to the 8 SAAB Erieyes or the ones ordered in 2020s one of them was with Erieye ER?

Is it the same Radar as offered with GlobalEye?

Thanks for clarifying as my knowledge is limited to open source data on Erieye platforms so was looking to explore and discuss.

Where did the dollars came to buy J-10 C, SAAB Erieye, HQ-9, HQ 16, HQ 7, Type 54 A, Babur Class Corvettes, Tabuk Class Corvettes, 8 Hangoor class submarines, and Now Z-10 ME also.

Don't forget F16s upgradation and maybe new ones as well in future

For now no news but when it comes to SAAB they only announce the deal of ours when they are about to supply us with new ones. What I know for sure is 9 is not the number we had envisioned. Final number of AWAC is way more than 9. So, I can see 4 SAAB Global Eye coming in future. They are a beast, both an AWAC but also to some extent a very potent EW plane.

Will KJ500 support link 16 ...

Saab can talk to both link 17 and link 16 simultaneously....
 
I'm hearing reports of (at least one) ZDK-03 in China possibly being re-fitted with new equipment from their other Y-8/Y-9 (GX series) electronic warfare platforms. Is that the case or are they still to be primarily used as AEW? @farooqbhai @Oscar

why we need Link 16 if we have indigenous link 17 working for both western/eastern platforms J-10C/F-16/JF-17 and for Mirages?
 
While Saab seems to be loved by PAF , they are nice platform , but I also Like the Chinese offering

I personally favour more ZDK-03 in Pakistan Air-force and Navy , as these units can be modified at will with Chinese upgrade more often, and the speed of craft is just ideal for loitering in air space

I am fan of this platform , it is just the right size with 4 Engines

Should have 12 Units

7 of these Refuelers are needed (Urgent Need)
This would boost PAF both at Land and also boost Over Sea Operations
  • Ukraine-Russia war has hindered servicing of the Ilyushin , while PAF is doing great work with plane , we need to also have backup planned

This is top item on my Wish List, 7 of these planes would certainly help improve PAF further
