Pakistan's Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircrafts

A Pakistani homegrown AEW&C on the same platform as the Sea Sultan would be excellent if PAF could pull it off. Pakistan must be closed to that capability soon i reckon.
What's an update on Sea Sultan ? Its been 5 years when we first heard about these planes for PN.

Oye indian, you are dumb.
Son, I have been a Pakistani long before you were born and turned out to be a cuckoo. You came out of eggshell on May 9, 2025 and start disrespecting others here on the forum. Keep your beak shut before you get smitten.

man this No.24 Squadron is a real unsung hero

a almost mythical squadron with unknown capabilities

it emerges from the dark and returns back to its hidden location

and rightly called the Blinders and they definitely lived up to their names

Anyone have any updates on the Bombardier Global 6000? Last I heard - it was in Turkey getting the EW package installed, and nothing since.

The Karakoram Eagles should be upgraded to KJ500 standard if that is possible.
old airframes, the cost of a new airframe is likely minor too, older ones will need structural mods and repair work etc, not worth the hassle

The one advantage of the KJ500 with its 3-sided AESA radar is that it can keep track of CMs better over Pakistani airspace as it has no blind spots compared to the Erieye radar, and maybe that is why PAF went towards that direction.

The interesting question is how many units is the PAF procuring, 3/4/8 or more ? Guess we wont find out until the deal is complete as the procurement pipeline from China is quite opaque.

Honestly i dont even think this was an issue, i say this because the patterns youd fly in a balance beam type aew is designed to minimise covg gaps- youd effectively get like 3-4h of continious covg one way on a longer loop, atleast 2/3h on a shorter one-

also, aesas have steerable beams so the gaps can really be minimised+ HES-21 can fill in some gaps using emissions sniffing
