China Requests US-Style Regulation for Pakistan’s J-35A Stealth Fighters

China’s proposed significant agreement to provide Pakistan with advanced J-35A stealth jets has encountered an unforeseen obstacle. Beijing has requested surveillance protocols from Islamabad. The US has imposed similar protocols on Pakistan’s F-16 fleet. China’s request stems from significant concerns over espionage. This crucial mandate seeks to avert the transfer of sensitive stealth technology to American entities.

What motivates China’s pursuit of US-style surveillance?

China’s demand for US-style surveillance arises chiefly from concerns regarding espionage. Beijing is concerned that the growing collaboration between Islamabad and Washington may lead to unintentional disclosures of sensitive military technology. The United States currently imposes stringent End-User Agreements (EUAs) on Pakistan’s fleet of 76 F-16 fighter jets. These agreements require the deployment of US ground personnel at critical Pakistani airbases, including Mushaf and Shahbaz, to safeguard sensitive elements such as the APG-68 radar.

Consequently, China now pursues analogous measures to safeguard the stealth capabilities of the J-35A fighters. The principal issue pertains to obstructing Pakistani military officials from permitting American personnel access to these aircraft, thus inadvertently jeopardizing vital Chinese technology.

I dont think its an issue if the Chinese want to monitor and ensure the US and others dont have any access to the J35.

I think it makes sense that China demands surveillance for J35E. Here is the video on the new factory in Shenyang.

So china will stop us from using them against who ? India ? Israel ? Against possible American aggression force ? Iran ? Like seriously ?

Iran and Afghanistan, even though brother states and there is no need of any aggression from any side, but any agression from their sides can be easily handled through JF-17 block 3.

So who is left which China wouldn't want us to attack or respond using J-31/35 ?

Dear Pakistani friends.
This is the main thread of the J-35 series fighter.
What we are discussing here are:

1. Technical issues of the J-35 series fighter
2. Its deployment in the PLA

For discussions on the PAF's J-35 and related international strategies, please go to the relevant thread.

It may not be true , if it's true than it's a big issue.... Americans put restrictions on F 16 cause they feared we will pass on the tech to china and now china is acting like America and putting restrictions..... this is unacceptable... Pakistan can wait for few years and go for KAAN .

It‘s a stupid fabricated click-bait report from a unreliable Indian site … so why bothering about it?

J-35 manufacturing going on turbo! If they start producing even 100 initially, since full capacity of 200 units annually might take a couple of years, add the numbers. 400-500 J-35's by 2030!!

Plus some numbers of 6th gen in production also. It seems as the purpose of this massive complex is mass manufacturing of advance jets and that's J-35 and J-50 right now by SAC.

They surely won‘t start at that rate since at the moment the J-35 is still being Build at the old site and the new one will be ready only later in 2026.

Andreas - Buddy, can you tell us the initial quantity of J-35's in operations with 1st and 2nd brigade? Are these the only brigades so far? I know you keep a tally of serial numbers so please explain. China has officially announced induction also. Thanks

Frankly, I don't know, but I can summarize what we know (or think we know) and what we suspect:

1. currently the Marine J-35 come obviously from the LRIP block 00xx and are confirmed the numbers 11 & 12.

Those of the Luftwaffe version J-35A, on the other hand, are batch 01 machines with confirmed numbers 01 & 02.

2. in use, the J-35A are currently confirmed by the 1st Air Brigade (not by the 2nd AB) and supposedly also receives the 9th AB which, whereby I expect that the very first machines went to an FTTB unit. The unit is not known to the Navy, but I think a squadron within the Naval Aviation University is most likely.

As far as the size of the individual production blocks is concerned, it is difficult to estimate, since SAC has currently switched to another system here: the last blocks on J-16 were usually 24 machines, with the new J-15T there seem to be only 20 each.

I think we just have to see and wait for more information.

I hope that was at least somewhat helpful.

So what are number they will induct for J35.. as carreir have limited capacity on them.. most probably right now its will based on there 3rd careers only ...
or will be added on first two as well replacing all J15 (most unlikely ).. as they still inducting new J15 as well

Agreed, still under construction per the video. The development speed from J-20 was around 40, 70+, 100 over 3-5 years.

So J-35 should be faster post robotic process improvement. Current robotic manufacturing is said to be able to produce ONE J-20 in less than 4 days. So J-30 should get there in 2-3 years.

The J-35 will be produced slowly in 1-2 years after the completion of SAC's new factory. During this period, the production line needs to be debugged. Of course, the J-35 series fighters themselves also need to be continuously improved.

The development progress of the J-35 Air Force version is about 1-1.5 years faster than the Navy version. SAC should first mass-produce the J-35A to replace the old fighters in the PLAAF as soon as possible. The production of the J-35 Navy version will proceed, but the quantity will not be too large.

At present, China's aircraft carrier is still in the exploration stage and has not yet reached the product finalization stage. Therefore, the construction speed of our aircraft carriers is currently slow. We expect that we may reach the mass production stage after the completion of the 4th or 5th aircraft carrier.
Once we reach the mass production stage, the world will begin to tremble... If you are interested, you can count: how many dry docks China has that can build large aircraft carriers...
Some time ago, China's two largest state-owned shipbuilding companies completed a merger. This means that the two shipbuilding companies have changed from a competitive relationship in the past to a close cooperative relationship now. ------ This is the Chinese government preparing for the next step.

Woo.. means .. we will see china directly competing with US in careers numbers game in decade or so ...

Make sense as china already working on 6th generation naval as well...

Exactly, 25 total produce this year and maybe 40-45 in 2026 is the realistic figure.
