I can't seem to find any of the claims War Monitor(Lebanese Hezbollah account) is claiming, I'm looking through twitter. They keep making references but no mass beheading videos or whatever they are claiming. It’s the 40 babies stuff all over again.

well again no one knows the exact amount of civilians that were killed execution style on both sides unless you actually are there on the ground I’m sure quite a few are true but from what reports have come out most have been fighters from both sides and i have to only assume the civilians that were killed purposely on either side were animals that acted on their own

The only thing I've seen video wise for the tribal stuff is some dude pushed off a balcony or something. Other things have been reported but I haven't seen. The Hijri guys are more brazen and explicit. Like after the ceasefire was reached and they agreed for security forces to deploy, they ambushed the security forces and killed them and filmed themselves mutilating the bodies again.

A Syrian security personnel was reportedly killed today in an ambush carried out by the al-Hijri militia.

At this point I don't see it ending well. Hijri is a lunatic and his words can't be trusted. 12 times the other druze leaders have agreed to a deal, and 12 times this guy has sabotaged it. This is the second time they have ambushed Security forces and killed and mutilated while filming. First was the initial deployment before the tribal stuff started, the second time was when the tribes were asked to withdraw and the security forces would go in.

At this point, I don't see a way forward with Hijri.

True. Although to be fair,the Syrian Armed Forces had been left behind significantly by the time the war started in 2012 and it was obvious that the biggest part of them were just a bit better armed and trained than militias. However,there were many well-trained and modestly equipped units from divisions to brigades. The problem was...they were modestly equipped for a conventional war and not this chaos!

I've been saying for years that the SAA and allied militias lost too many men because they lacked MRAPs. It's my opinion only,but I've seen videos from Iraq where soldiers and reporters were saved just because they were behind bulletproof glass.

For example,the Iraqis had uparmored Humvees,Maxxpro,Cougar,BTR-4,M1117 Guardian and many other armored vehicles suitable for urban warfare. Many soldiers and policemen were saved from snipers and random firefights in Iraq.

The guys in Syria though,had to make do with BMP-1/2 and normal cars and pickup trucks. Oh and some of these from the police:

But I understand what you're saying. They had bases,weapons,stockpiles. All they needed was a good upgrade,but I didn't see the Russians or Chinese willing to help much.

To be fair china as powerful and strong as they are have been basically useless in the Middle East for decades other than bullying neighbors they haven’t really done anything in the international arena to counter western influence only thing they seem to be good for is offering high interest loans that countries can’t pay back so they take over much of those countries economies……..I guess we now know chinas agenda

China hasn’t done much to help anyone they have their own agenda nothing wrong with that most countries do but kind of tired of so much lip service without any action whatsoever

Exactly that,yeah. It would have been so easy for China to save Assad's Syria from all this mess,but they didn't. Maybe they didn't have good connections with Syria,maybe they didn't care. Maybe they didn't like the fact that Russia had a naval base there. But Russia too could have helped more with equipment and men....but they didn't. They kept the SAA weak and were stingy in their heavy weapons donations.

China has provided economic assistance to the Assad government. This is the limit of what the Chinese government can do, there is no way China can send PLA to Syria to fight in the civil war. First of all, China will not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. Secondly. Secondly, Syria is too far away from China.

As for the Julani government, it is supporting the East Turkestan organization. China So, China will not allow it to become a legitimate government recognized by the UN. It will not be protected by the Charter of the United Nations, and the use of force against it by any country is not a violation of international law.
