Sir dont you agree with the fact that with jf17 block 3 the concept of low cost fighter is no more validate. When mig 29 costs under 45 mil dollar and su 30 under 49 million dollars. And when we talk about export jf17 averages at 55 mil a piece with logistic and maintenance items.

Low cost fighting planes are only uavs

Almost anyone is free to buy JF-17 Block 3 from you. How many are "allowed" to buy SU-30, and Mig-29 from Russia ?

regardless, what's important is that Block3 has a new more Powerful engine. If we compare the exhaust nozzle of Block 2 with Block 3, there is no much difference, hence it is safe to assume that the new engine is RD93MA

Free means free from sanctions. But concept of low cost is no more understandable with jf17 blk 3

That is wrong way of understanding things. J10 is also failed or ignored lavi project based on that thinking. Be reasonable. Jf 17 may have been said low cost fighter based on mig 33 but it is not even same thing anymore. Many in PAF and PAC now also say the same that low cost effective is just a catchphrase. Its reached almost 35 to 40 mil a piece now. With aesa gan varient, good sub systems. Best thing in asian market for the price.

The only reason its cheap in some sense is maintenance and the providers are cheap china and pakistan. While same quality stuff is easily 80 mil or more in west.

The JF-17 remains a cost-effective platform when compared to similar fighter aircraft such as the Gripen, Eurofighter Typhoon, Rafale, and F-16, both in terms of acquisition and operational costs. While the unit cost of the newer Block III variant may exceed the earlier estimates of approximately $25 million for Block I, it continues to offer significantly greater affordability relative to its peer platforms. Additionally, one of the key indicators of its low-cost advantage is its substantially lower operating cost per flight hour compared to these comparable aircraft.

Agreed. But what I mean is that the jet is cheap only because its not from west. Otherwise its quality is good.

Most likely higher electrical power output for current and future AESA radar, plus better climb performance with full PL15 BVR loadouts...

I am not sure if I understand. Are we saying SU-30 or Mig-29 are such great platforms that they are in demand? The world has gotten away from Russian weapons. Middle Eastern, Far eastern countries, for example Philippines, Malaysia, and other nations, even in Africa and likes of Bangladesh have dropped further Russian weapons acquisition plans due to their poor performance, maintenance nightmare, etc.

Selling ability is great. It just means we have little to no enemies if we can sell to a broad range of nations.
