Trump said five Indian Jets were shot down

In the light of its stellar performance Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has recommended a new motto for the Indian Air Force :
The current motto Nabha Sparsham Deeptam, ( नाभा स्पर्शम दीप्तम ) Touch the Sky with Glory ! will be replaced by Bhumi Sparsham Deeptam (भूमि स्पर्श्म दीप्तम) , Touch the EARTH with Glory !
I thought basic Sanskrit was universally taught in India

Sorry my Sanskrit and Hindi abilities are almost non-existent

Sarcasm aside I actually like the motto "Nabha Sparsham Deeptam " Touch the Sky With Glory. It is part of the quote from the Bhagvad Gita 11:24 . Of course it's a religious slogan in keeping with India's brand of so called "secularism ".😊

A comparison:
The Pakistan Air Force motto's are both strictly secular,.
  1. -The first official motto simply says "A symbol of pride for the nation" in English, and "Qoum Ka S Armaghan-e-Iftikhar" in Urdu,
  2. - The second longer traditional motto is more inspiring and like the first strictly secular. It is a line in Persian quoted from a poem, by our national poet Iqbal. (Sahraast keh darya ast, tah bal-o-par-e maast," ) which means "Be it deserts or seas; all lie under our wings"
I prefer the traditional motto which has a much deeper philosophical context but I won't bother you with details of the reference.

Scratching pretty low if Trump is your evidence.
Understandable. Obviously Paks here haven't gotten over their slave mentality yet.
Pretty rich coming from Bakhtoras who revered Trump like a God .
Still ask yourself who would the world believe, the American President or your topsy-turvy weekend warriors.

IAF standing really gone down. They actually had a lot of kit that was simply not utilised properly. Dassault desperately want to know more about the tactics that led to the Rafale losses but are being kept at arms length. What were the Phalcons and famed Netras doing?
Why was the Meteor not successful?
What about their fleet of EW planes?
Why were 72 planes sent up as a main force and PAF allowed to counter?
Why was not a distraction organised in the south before they attacked in the north?
What went wrong with Spectra?
What about all the fancy Israeli EW pods their fleet use?
If they flew just strike planes did they not have planes as top cover as is SOP for any strike like this?

We talk of IAF being a modern professional force and trains with other countries, their performance makes the Sudanese air force look world class...

one would have thought they would have learned some lesson from the 2019 disaster of losing Su30 and Mig 21s..

The more I think about it, the more I think there is a deep cultural rot within the IAF.

This is how 3rd world militaries usually are. Corrupt and incompetent. Pakistan is the exception.

Not saying Pak Mil is not corrupt, but officers seem to be focused on building an effective fighting force, be that via very intense training, stringent weapons procurement and deep focus in tactics development.

The more I read about the IAF, the more it seems like a force just focused on prestige weapons they can show off but not utilise properly, like some 2nd rate Arab or African country

Where did you think Trump got the 5 figure came from?

A) Watching Pakistan TV ?

B) trolling PDF ?

C) CIA's military grade Intel briefings?

Pick one.

Pak mil is not corrupt. But they have to do underhanded tactics to get access to the funds they need to develop. If Pak had been a proper democracy from the beginning its mil would be the same as India and other 3rd world countries.

to be fair if you recall just before the indian attack a flight of Rafales were intercepted by J10s..

IAF tried to warn the hindu RSS gov that they are not ready

True, my point was their focus on fighter jet purchases that get news headlines rather then force enablers.

EW/AEW/Refullers they are so so so woefully short

Integration seems non existent, not just between services but within the IAF itself.
Inter service rivalry also adds to the chaotic state of affairs (Both Army and IAF demanded they have exactly the same Apache choppers and US Predators for the same tasks but operated seperately)
