Land Forces Commander General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu:
(TAYFUN Block-4 Ballistic Missile)

We will have this system in our inventory by the end of this year. It will be a crucial deterrent.

As its range and speed increase, its deterrent effect will be global.

Turkiye focused on guidance systems for pinpoint accuracy
Turkish TAYFUN Ballistic Missile hit the target with pinpoint accuracy ( below 1 meter )

US Army Dark eagle HGV has a speed of mach 17. These are not comparable.

"The Pentagon has previously said that this weapon would allow the Army and Navy to “strike targets hundreds and even thousands of miles away” and that it will get up to a speed of Mach 17."

You are talking about Polaris-A3 SLBM carrying a prototype of the Common-Hypersonic Glide Body

Wikipedia and armyrecognition.com says speed of mach 5

And TAYFUN Block1 Ballistic Missile with speed of mach 5,2

Maybe TAYFUN reach hypersonic speeds in midcourse

No, Pentagon wasn't talking about Polaris carrying the Dark Eagle HGV. They are talking about the final product itself.

"this weapon would allow the Army and Navy to “strike targets hundreds and even thousands of miles away” and that it will get up to a speed of Mach 17."

It does not sound like something about interim booster's performance. It only make sense ogirinally intended booster would be more capable. But more improtantly, HGV won't simply reach a range of 2770km with a top speed of mach only 5. It would fall off the sky much earlier.

Neither wiki nor Armyrec is a reliable source. It is not even a debate when we have explicit statement from Pentagon.

What about https://www.congress.gov ?

Common Hypersonic Glide Body (C-HGB) can travel at Mach 5 or higher on its own

Then Hypersonic Ballistic Missiles in NATO
-- Turkish TAYFUN Block-1 ( speed of mach 5.2 )
-- Turkish TAYFUN Block-4 ( estimated maximum speed of mach 6-8 )
also CENK Ballistic Missile on the way

Germany , France , Italy , The UK , etc dont have land based Ballistic Missiles
And USA has hypersonic glide vehicle

Roketsan AKATA Submarine-launched Cruise Missile

Good to see Turkey producing powerful Ballistic missiles. Including air-launched ones. These are critical to have against enemy which has strong air defenses.

Has Turkey also developed any supersonic CM ? that would be a great addition too.

We saw the first footage off Roketsan RAMJET air to air missile, but people did forget the missile off Tubitak SAGE. Tomorrow they will unviel it.

Roketsan 160KM+

Roketsan GOKBORA with range of 100+ nm

1 nm = 1,85 km
100+ nm = 185+ km

Does anyone know what the unit cost is of Tayfun?

hasn't been released yet. Its probably cheaper than a western missile but not as cheap as an Iranian missile, given Iran's scale of production and managing to create cheap munitions.

Have we lost our minds? Why are we developing two different ramjet air-to-air missiles? Countries don't spend money twice on a technology that only a few in the world can produce. How logical is that?

I think they may be for separate roles. One is solid fuel or is liquid. The ranges and use cases might be different as well. Its not uncommon to develop two different types of missiles.
