Ultra-deep water drilling requires advance drilling, seismic imaging and contouring, managing tectonic complexities and on top of that doing it safely.

If there is one country that has the knowledge, personnel and equipment to do deep sea drilling and production, it is USA.

And if Trump is making this statement, then there is a high chance that prior geological surveys have already been done.

I think this was part of the Asim Munir Luncheon talks as well.....offering USA minerals/oil because that can involve American companies.

Fluor corporation is already engaging with Barrick for the Reko Diq project EPC contracts, and the amount of money Barrick is investing means they know fully well how much potential minerals have in Pakistan. You just need the right manpower/technology and economic feasibilities.

Pakistan getting to develop its own natural resources cannot be understated.

Remember it was Esso that struck natural gas reserves in Pakistan and setup what was later Engro Fertilizers. You cannot beat US geological technology for mapping minerals and resources.

Exxon doesn't do drilling themselves, there are specialists operators who do it, such as Transocean, Schlumberger etc and yes they have the best manpower and tech.
