India - US Tariff and Relations | News + Updates

@Dalit bro, @hydrabadi_arab

Not good enough. Pick a side.

You guys are telling us that Pakistan is now in both the US and PRC camps. But you want us to pick a side?

Regards

You need orange hair and a Twitter addiction to throw tantrums like that. 😄 But for Pakistan, picking a side is child’s play, you’ve been doing it for decades. Just go with whoever promises short term candy… or better yet, whoever's holding the stick.

With Trump, there is often smoke without fire. He has dispatched his henchman Witkoff to Moscow. It is quite possible an arrangement with Putin will be reached and the Trump/Putin bromance will start again. There is no need for India to burn bridges on either side while the Trumpian drama plays out.

You can’t base your strategic relationships on how the US throws its mood swings around. They’ll use anyone they can as leverage to arm twist their other partners, and after all the drama, they’re often back to romancing each other, usually at the cost of whoever took sides too soon.

Best to let them fight it out and not take every US tantrum as gospel.

Examples

The Kurds fought ISIS for them, then got thrown under the bus when Turkey raised its voice.

Europe got dragged into the whole Iran deal drama, lost billions in trade, while the US just walked away.

Pakistan was America’s major non nato ally during the Afghan war, then got ghosted after Osama, only to be pinged again when China got too cozy.

Ukraine, used as a frontline state, but the support depends on who’s in the White House next.

I'm touched by the pragmatism of Indian foreign policy. India is a beacon for the world on how to use principled foreign policy for global leadership!!
I hope India's foreign policy stays pragmatic and opportunistic rather than go off the principled BS track again, which cost the country heavily under Nehru and others.

It is more of a Trump tantrum than a US tantrum. He is impulsive and unpredictable. Even on the India trade deal, the US' lead negotiators Lutnick and Greer thought they had an acceptable deal with India, but Trump kept sitting on it and then decided to blow things up. Just as he is using Pakistan as a tool to pressure India, he is also using India as a tool to pressure Russia.

Also, one should have a thick skin dealing with him and not take his posts too seriously. There is still time until August 8 for him to do another U-turn.

I'm touched by the humanity and friendship of Indian foreign policy. India is a beacon for the world on how to use principled foreign policy for global leadership!!

You can only remain neutral when you pick a side... When you play on all sides, that means you are with no one, hence no one is with you.

Just because you are weak and have no leverage doesn't mean others are in the same situation.

It's a tactical and required actions.

You take caution actions - you can't go and offend USA completely.

It's a dirty game and need to play with patiently. It's just paused now
This only shows that India must be thrown out of BRICS. India is the spoiler

Do you want india to get isolated as iran?

And by the way - who came forward to help you when Israel and USA attacked on you?

China or Russia?

Look, Iran may be willing to sacrifice everything for nothing — but you can’t expect every country to do the same.

For a country like India, the smartest strategy is to stay neutral and secure the best possible outcomes for its own people from both sides. If one side says, “We’ll support you, but only if you abandon the other,” then the best response is simple:
“We can’t ditch one partner just to please another.”

This balanced approach has worked well for India for decades, and it continues to be the most practical path forward.

Are you going to help ally Russia after Trump has moved two nuclear submarines? You claim to be a Russian ally.

It is either QUAD or BRICS. It is either the West or Global South. You cannot fool anyone. There is no in between. Donald Trump demands full loyalty from India. You cannot get away with duplicity anymore. The policy of reaping benefits from all sides is over. Did you really think that India was going to fool Trump with current policy? The Americans provide preferential treatment to Hindustan because they expect full cooperation.

What did I used to tell you Indians? A time will come when the Americans are going to demand full support. That time has come buddy.
India is having own wayto help the partner. Its always not military.

India supported these years Russia with trade and oil purchased - that's already will considered supporting them.

Bro, don't be offended. But South Asians have slave's mentality. Don't mix national interests with modern day slavery.
