Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

Hypersonic cruise missile will be out of reach for a while...
To date, there is no mature (stable, reliable, and in service) air-breathing hypersonic cruise missile in the world.

You need to be careful to identify the truth of many messages, as well as the false information deliberately released by government agencies in some countries.

The Zircon is in service and has seen combat usage in Ukraine

Kinzhal is not a cruise missile but a normal ballistic missile, similar to the YJ-21
"Zircon." To date, there's no definitive, third-party verifiable evidence of its existence. All we know about it comes from official Russian statements. Only text! No photos! No videos! No one knows what this missile looks like!

"Kinzhal." It's just a standard ballistic missile. This technology was mature during the Cold War. It doesn't fully meet the standards of a hypersonic missile.

So, strictly speaking, until we receive more definitive information, "Russia doesn't have a hypersonic missile!"

Of course, anyone can question this view. But this debate is pointless.
So, to avoid getting into a pointless argument, we generally exclude Russia's hypersonic missiles from the discussion. Until we have more evidence.

I disagree with this assertion because third party authorities do believe in the existence of the Zircon (like the US DoD) and Ukraine verified it's combat usage. Russia may lie, but the extent of the lies to manufacture an entirely false weapon is usually not the case. Typically it is the exaggeration of its capabilities or effectiveness.

But we can end the discussion here, since it is off topic.

No missile with this strike range can be exported ......

Both the DF-100 and the DF-26 are high-precision medium-range missiles.

FACT Check -- This is YOUR PERSONAL OPINION which by the way has failed miserably on several occasions now. And you will be wrong AGAIN.

Give it time.

Zircon and Sarmat (NATO name: Satan) are Russia's 2 strategic weapons that are relatively new first strike weapons, built in the past 15 years in different iterations, revealed around 2020-2022.

They may have used 1 or 2 Zircon for test and training in Ukraine war. But they keep them for strategic nuclear delivery purposes.

Kinzahl was built post 2010. New variations built after 2023 are true hypersonic glide vehicles. The Patriot shot down near 10 of the older one's durign the Ukraine war and the Russians discontinued firing for over a year, upgraded the shape and thrust, and then re-surfaced it. The recent firings couldn't be intercepted by any Ukranian system because the new Kinzahl's are primarily air launched and fly with depressed trajectory as well as maneuvers at high-machs. So the current version is more advanced then the previous version two years ago.

That's the sad beauty of war. You upgrade your systems to beat your enemy's systems that you already tested. I believe Russia is now building a new military, and throwing in all old equipment. All upgraded, new weapons are being built knowing the Patriot, IRIST and various top end American and European products. So Russian military will have an edge over others in the future with better weapon systems.

An exact copy of the Ababeel layout (or vice versa).

Form follows function..

It doesn't mean it is Abadeel imho ( love to be proved wrong of course ). If it was a Pakistani SLV capability, it would be all over the news right now, even if it was launched from Pakistan.

I dont think it is Pakistani at all.
