Marandi goes straight to the point and highlights the hypocrisy of the questioner or accuser. Is he wrong in what he says? I think people here have forgotten how Zarif had never mauled anyone in an interview, got ragdolled on the political stage and himself used what you would describe as "whataboutism" in every single interview, which by the way is a meaningless word which hypocrites have invented as a desperate way of taking the blame off of themselves.

Zarif is a bit more intelligent than Marandi in my opinion.

What he achieved, or lack thereof, makes me beg to differ. He is more flowery in his speech but it comes across as contrived and people saw through it in the end. We need someone who speaks good English but isn't a smiley weak person.

Zarif is a gaslighter of high order. Tongue of a snake. He's a traitor OR an idiot savant. OR BOTH. There is very little redeeming about him. As for Marandi, his words word taken out of context. Besides he was right anyway. Europe is indeed in pretty poor shape and is having a 'cold winter' strategically.

There's very little benefit in criticizing our own in the lopsided anti-Iranian messaging atmosphere.

We will have to agree to disagree on that and I think his critics were from across the board.

Well he wasn't wrong in what he said about who needs the deal more, which had no relation with Mahsa Amini. I'm pretty sure there was an energy crisis in Germany and a few other places, so while he may have over egged it he was in the ball park with that as well. There is no better English speaker amongst the hardliners than Marandi.
