Well enough of this let's talk about J-10. When do you think next batch of J-10C will be coming? It's a totally serious question.

2. From a purely commercial perspective, I think if Pakistan is willing to pay cash, CAC would be very happy with the deal. However, if it is a loan deal, they are unlikely to agree. So, it depends on whether Pakistan has sufficient cash. ------ CAC is in dire need of cash right now.
this makes no sense btw...

whether its a loan or cash doesnt make a difference to the seller. The national or private banks will bankroll the loan, the cash goes to the vendor either way...

You can't demand official sources for Chinese weapons data. It's all classified and has no legitimate source.

However, there were reports this year that the PL-16 has entered service with the Chinese Air Force. It's only 3.8 meters long, 180/203mm in diameter, and features foldable tail fins. It uses new GAP/HMX high-energy propellants, achieving a specific charge of 243.5 meters. Its effective range is 300+km. It's equipped with a Ku-band AESA, supports a two-way data link and Beidou satellite corrections, boasts strong anti-jam capabilities, and is capable of a LOAL mode.

There is no news about the PL-17 (range 400+km) and PL-21 (range 1000+km), which are the next generation of missiles.

<Army Recognition> had a report about the PL-16 at the end of July this year, you can look it up. The rest of the reports mostly come from Chinese websites and Chinese forums.

Is this PL-21 rebranded as PL-16 ? and why China needs 2 same kind of BVRAAM with similar mission profile and range (PL-16 and PL-17)?

Didn't may 6/7 surprise made it evidently clear that no manufacturer/operator would ever reveal the true range/capabilities of their weapon system? Indians learned it the hard way and paid a heavy price for believing the information/data on the internet

No. The PL-16 and PL-15 belong to the same generation of missiles, it is more suitable for the J-20. The PL-17 and PL-21 are the next generation of missiles.

The PL-16 has already entered service, while the PL-17/21 still have a long way to go.
