Opinion: India Pakistan near conflict - Escalation management non-existent

There was never an option for independence in the UN resolution — because both India and Pakistan refused to allow it.

Kashmir was an independent nation. It wants that right back and the VOTE is its "decommissioning" from the current border regimes, from India and Pakistan and into a sovereign state like it used to be.

Do some research and come back. There can be NO affiliation if a state isn't even independent, common sense. Because if you are not independent, you are a SLAVE, like we are to India. So first, we get the right to VOTE and once independence is achieved, THEN we decide who to affiliate with, for what, foreign relations and all. You seem like a smart guy, this is common sense.

One of the silliest claims is that “Pakistan got independence from India.” There was no “India” as an independent country before 1947, and certainly no “Pakistan” either. Both were part of British India.

In 1947, British India was divided into two new countries — India and Pakistan. So, if anyone claims Pakistan got freedom from India, it’s false. Both nations were born at the same time, out of the same colonial rule

You don't know the history! I can conclude with your points. Thanks

Most silly part you said that Pakistan got independent from india, there was no india before as a country and from Pakistan where got the vote Rights? When this happened?.... So much misinformation you have it.

I said it before then deleted it. I'm half Pashtun, half Kashmiri. Kashmir is my family and heritage both. You can't teach me more about our land and history.

Lastly, I used historical title "India" as a reference to subcontinent. I can't call it "England" because its not. It was a colony.

india is an ancient piece of excrement that stinks the whole planet.
I think now is a window for Pakistan to actually meaningfully craft an identity devoid of indian hypenating

Indian needs Pakistan more than ever, it was famously said that if Pakistan did not exist India would have created it anyway, because it seems to have the need to externalize the internal mess and contradictions

I don't think Pakistan should actively engage India now in the type of dialogue they are trying to bait Pakistan with

Emphasis of bait

EXACTLY!!!!!!..........We need to foster high intensity Pakistani nationalism in Pakistanis both home and abroad.

I think consideration on increasing the scope and depth of what this should mean is needed now

Basically, I know Mr haqqani is a controversial figure, but the reason I shared that tweet is I think that there is space for Pakistan to shape its global understanding by talking on the IVC more

You mention abroad, there was a recent silk Road exhibition in the British museum, the very first artifact you see is a Buddhist statue discovered in northwest Pakistan, it's at the entrance before the exhibition really starts, you can't avoid it basically

This caused more of a stir within India, than in Pakistan.... I didn't see anyone from or Pakistan related even talking about this

If this starts to mobilize abroad, you might not even appreciate how irritated some will get

Indian tactics and game is essentially over. The world knows it well. Whatever little doubt there was, the Rocket Force has fixed those. Next war will be fought within Indian borders, that's the message. This time, we returned captured areas.

India should memorize Pakistani response formula: ICIR=2*R (PRFR)

Easy explanation:
ICIR (In Coming Indian Rockets) = 2 Times Response of (Pakistan Rocket Force Rockets). Replace R with M for Missiles when needed.

Essentially, Pakistan upgraded Newton's law of force from "proportional" to DOUBLE in our response :)

Whilst increasingly India's strategic no man's land is being unraveled, that does not automatically improve Pakistan's hybrid position. I think it just makes it easier if there were more attempts

Finally, for the West, India is the strategic prize, therefore nothing is permanent, other than you need to put in effort and thinking

India is no longer anyone's strategic prize. It doesn't have the physical power to. That's also why it can't ever be a super power. Also why the US is putting it on a lower burner. You have to have PHYSICAL power, i.e. military and influence, around the world to shape conflicts, mediate, resolve, etc.

That's Pakistan! India is only a trade transaction nation. No loyalty.

It's still theoretically a strategic prize to some.

You can't vanish away it's size population

It's India's strategic thinking that needs to be altered, you can worry about it muscle later, It just needs to be strong enough

This is why India has aggressively chosen to provoke Pakistan, including the water treaty, it's a distraction from real regional responsibility.

Clearly the west sees through it , that being said, this also drags Pakistan in.

The superpower talk is just childish, it seems like it was an over exaggerated aim designed to cause disappointment eventually....

Your entire post is about India. We don't care and it doesn't matter. It's a war mongering nation. Our military will handle it and done.

It's Pakistan, the core focus. With strong military capability, yet, peace loving nature, with relations evenly friendly from US to Europe / UK / the entire Middle East, China, Russia. Obviously, much stronger with China and trade wise with the US and religiously with the Middle East. This is our physical power, both in terms of military and influence wise.

Bilawal Bhutto (not a fan of him), said in a press conference in the US that "the world is big enough to hold Pakistan and India in their respective context". This is all I can say for India.

Beyond a war mongering neighbor, it's got no place in my mind, or in Pakistan's international influence and reach.

Indian government awarded 9 Vir Chakras to it's 9 officers. That means Pakistan killed 9 of their officers - 6 pilots in Jets and 3 in S-400 kills.

So for causing nearly $2 billion dollars of loss to the nation, they are given the highest award. Vir Chakra is rarely given to alive soldiers. It's criteria is ultimate sacrifice.
