India - US Tariff and Relations | News + Updates

Bending forward to others isn't our cup of tea.
India as on now lacks any capability to retaliate to the economic sanctions. Accepting them is far better than to sacrifice our farmers and their interest.
You chose to be America's frontline Quad Quack.

How's isolating Pakistan internationally and containing China turning out?

I also heard 56" is getting desperate to hug Xi Jinping next month.

I don't see many emojis of Indian members "sipping tea" anymore?

Every other day the Americans insult India. Indian leadership retaliates by making threats against Pakistan.

What's all that about? 🤔
They come up with ridiculous amount of cope and claims that they shot that and that in May skirmish and then they say "No wonder Americans are pissed" 🤣🤣

As fleeting as news like this is, my day gets better every time I read news like this

US adviser Navarro says India's Russian crude buying has to stop

To quote Elon Musk, Navarro is a "moron" and "dumber than a sack of bricks". The only reason Trump humors him is because he spent four months in prison after being convicted of contempt of Congress due to his own stupidity.

He is the White House Trade advisor, regardless of your opinion.

Anyway, seems like F-35 is a no go for India

So he's wrong in saying with India's stronger strategic ties post dangers for American technology to leak? That's what Trump says too by the way. He wants you to stop running this black market of Russian oil and stop buying weapons from them. And fulfil your promise of being a US ally and working for their interests, for which, you were given Trillions of dollars worth of economic benefits!

He is just the biggest crackpot in the administration and has a nominal position with no real authority. He has been saying idiotic things about trade for decades and was not given any of the substantive roles he wanted. The people handling trade policy in the Trump cabinet are Bessent, Lutnick and Greer.

It is the US that has been trying to sell F-35s to India and India has repeatedly rejected them because the US will never agree to transfer technology which is what India wants. So, I agree that F-35 is a no go for India. The only situation in which it will happen if India is forced to buy them in order to " buy down" the tariff rate in a trade deal. The probability is higher than a few weeks ago, because it seems both Switzerland and Spain might be walking out of buying F-35s and LM would be lobbying hard to find a replacement customer.

Sure, OK, Again, your opinion. Pretty sure if he said "we have offered F-35 to India" you would be jumping up and down on the news for days, but this news does not suit your narrative.

Anyway, hold on to any crumb of comfort you can.

India will try to normalise relations with China but there is zero chance she will share F-35 technology with China if she were to hypothetically buy them. So, yes, he is completely wrong. It is not suprising because he knows nothing of geopolitics and is always saying stupid things about trade even though he trained in economics and finance.

Actually these have been informally offered by both Trump and Vance. They can't be offered formally without approval from Congress, but Trump will not go to Congress until India informally agrees to buy them because it will be absolutely humiliating for him if India rejects the planes after Congress votes to sell them to India.

I will take his comments as more knowledgable about US policy then yours, no offence.

Anyway, however you spin this, F-35 is not on the cards, probably never was.

India's 5th Gen options just narrowed...
