We could start slow and small, but a brigade size force spread out throughout the country of the size of Pakistan is just about right, IMHO. Being able to bring and extract a sizable force to a decisive point in battle could be vital to future operations.
Also elements of the brigade could be deployed to UN or GCC missions, with the experience and expertise to operate their equipment and therefore have the skills to even run a semi-private training academy for foreign partners. All of this could help sustain this force.

Chinooks should be treated not as preference but necessity, and not merely for PA and PAF but NDMA as well.

Point? Almost all of Pakistan's high tech kit is non US, lesson learned very well.

Anyone know what Naval Equipment this article is talking about? i cannot think of anything significant we need from US, maybe choppers?

Pakistanis don't realize without USA free/discounted weapons in 50's and 60's Pakistan would have become bheegi billi like other Indian neighbours. Always grateful for USA support in early years.

Or at least navalized Bell-412M.
i feel like this would take far too much work- also, its far too small so you run into the same issues SK did with their AW159's.
The nice thing with the 60R is alot of the important bits are off the shelf, like the dipping sonar is a thales unit shared by like all western asw choppers

Maybe they'll ask the Turks to reconfig the T-70? It's not as thorough as the 60R, but also probably much cheaper.

Chinooks will never be cleared for FMS to pakistan due to its tandem rotor design being studied by Chinese.

aw-139s were opted instead of S-70/mh-60s even though S-70s have the best hot and high performance of any Mil chopper, so we won't see S-70s or its derivates being inducted 412EPX maybe , UH-1y unlikely to be opted.
It would be foolish for PN to opt for any other platform then AW-139M even if they get that for pennies.AW-139 has an MRO in kamra with more then 20 operational within all branches and government it is best choice for supply chain and ease of maintenance and training.
PAA once had this issue of having too many types they thankfully now have streamlined it and so should every other force.
Mi-17s for heavy
AW-139s for Medium
H-125 for light
