That Russia has no common interests with Iran when it comes to Israel or as you mentioned Syria (where they partly had common interests), is already known, but we do have many common interests in other places such as Caspian, Caucasus, Central Asia and we are both members of formats/blocks such as SCO, BRICS and Iran works closely with Eurasian Union (observer status in Eurasian Economic Union). We do have both common interests in multi-polarism and new world order. We do have both common interests in rise of east and Asia.

We have no real common interests with Russia whatsoever. Russia is a useless leech that has leeched off us for far too long because of a particular person in power.
Every move Russia has made in the last 2 decades has had only one goal: To weaken Iran and undermine our influence in the Caucasus and the Middle East. They have thrown us under the bus far too many times just in the last 25 years alone.
