Besides sanctions on shipping, it also reinstates Iran as a threat to global peace.Guys, forgive my ignorance here.
What sort of sanctions are we actually talking about that are no longer in effect, and would be re-imposed via Snapback mechanism? Is Europe or the rest of the world actually doing much business with Iran since Trump re-imposed unilaterial sanctions?
I thought the U.S sanctions are so far reaching, that is essentially pushed the world out of doing business with Iran anyway. What damage could Snapback do?
Bringing back Iran to a country that falls under Chapter VII of the UN charter.
They have already used Article 41 on Iran. Next step would be Article 42, if China and Russia does not veto it.
