Did concerned AD setups inform the Base authorities about incoming missiles?
How much time did they take for dissemination of information?
What were the actions of base authorities upon receiving the call from AD setups?
Was the air raid alert siren working at the time?
Was it audible at hangar?
When was the siren blown?
Were the people at base briefed about actions in case of air raid alarm?
Were the trenches available for shelter during air raid alarm?
Are recordings of Motorolla channels available?
Under whose authority was that SAAB standing inside hangar? Did AHQ authorise it or AHQ was consulted? When was the last state submitted to AHQ?
When were emergency response teams (fire / rescue / explosive disarmament) informed?
What was the response time of emergency response teams?
Is there any possibility of a "inside help" about location of aircraft?


That's lots of statements to record - and it's going to take a while.

Do large planes like the Erieye have HAS shelters ? The fighter fleet certainly has, so the question is how can such an asset be protected other than moving it around, alot.

No HAS exist for large body aircrafts yet at our bases.

Im sure that would be part of the inquiry board's recommendations.

Time to think about larger super bases in the middle of nowhere that can be made more sterile and easier to defend them.

That's one problem with our geographical boundaries. We lack strategic depth. We can not hide any high value assets in depth to minimize chances of hit or even afford more reaction time for an appropriate reactive action.

However, that still can not be excuse for the mistakes at Bholari. Im sure alot of peope would get appreciations and alot would be getting a major dent to their careers.

So what can be the solution?

Atleast a couple of HAS at each base for large body aircrafts have to be built. Yeah - still alots of aircrafts won't be safe including the C130s but atleast you can put the HVAs like AWACS in them.

Installation of more effective anti-drone systems to rule out any possibility of hit through killer drones.

Even if none of such things is done - Better judgement of the situation and events building up can still save valuable lives and equipment. Given the circumstances - that aircraft should never have been there - given the fact that Jacobabad and Sukkur Hangars had just been hit.

I think one has to be a little realistic here.
Israel with it's Iron Dome with other sophisticated AD equipment and all the hi tech gadgetry couldn't stop all the Iranian missiles and we are not talking about just few getting through, even it's F-35 base took multiple hits. India fired some 50 BrahMos missiles, how many did hit worthy military targets. All 7 fired at Rafiqui were neutralised through hard and soft kills. Rahim Yaar Khan is like a private civilian facility. Was India able to intercept all the projectiles fired at Adampur, Avaintpura and few others, it's another thing for whatever reasons Pakistan is withholding satellite Imagery. The much fabled S-400, whether it was neutralised or paralysed, it didn't stop PAF from conducting a daring raid against it . There are hangars at every base, even bigger ones at Nur Khan but one lucky hit at Bholari gets all the attention. Someone should ask Shiv Aroor to follow up on his tweets on Srinagar under air attack with two aircraft being shotdown.

There are specific reasons, all known, due to which this thing happened. Can't specify them here, but I must say that it was unavoidable.

Like... Just a teaser.... No one will talk about three strike packages of SU30 sent for this general location, what happened to them... Etc... Etc.... It's overall an interesting story once you know what PAF, army and PAF AD assets did against IAF guys... Very interesting....

Is there any image whatsoever of the any indian assets ( base, airbase, drop, SAM site anything) damaged by PAF attack. Satellite, aerial, gun camera anything. There are thousands of Freelance, non govt sites having such image taking capacity.
