India Lucky Not To Lose More Than Four Rafales

Should i reveal a fun fact regarding Bhatinda? 😉

It's true that 02 Rafales were targeted over Bhatinda. First one was successful in dodging the PL-15 through some impressive 11th hour manuevers. The other was not so forunate. PL-15 chased its ass to death.
So, one Rafale that successfully dodged our PL-15 managed to escape over Bathinda? Then who were the two pilots referred to in the Economist article? Even if we reject the local's claim that the pilot was killed, it still doesn't make any sense since two pilots were found injured in the nearby fields and a single-seater variant (BS001) was shot down?

Was one of them shot down as soon as getting airborne?

No. The one that got shot was at 30 K + Ft altitude. Some more interesting facts about Bhatinda - Some other day may be. 🙃

The rumour is that there may have been 8 PL-15 launches against IAF aircraft

Actually more.

Only one Rafale was actually shot down over Bhatinda (BS001). The other one got lucky. The story about two pilots is inaccurate.

Strange that @Yasser76 didn't react in his habitual manner.

Here is the real funny part - look at these geniuses who thought this photo was recent and IAF debunked PAF's claim of BS001. 😂😂

And you still think you can battle this mentality? Majority indian posters here are no better than this.

@side-winder

How was it able to dodge? What manuevers? Can you highlight more please.

Bro - can't be specific for many reasons --- No BVRAAM can ever have a 100% success rate anyway. That should not be a surprise at all.

The other Rafale had luck on his side in addition to timely judgement and subsequent manuever by the pilot at the eleventh hour.

Let's not just assume that all IAF pilots are just noobs, incompetent or totally zilch who know nothing of tactics beyond routine flying - Let's not be like the Bakhtoras living in utmost sense of unbeatable superiority.
