This really is bad, with the $150 million and more then 7 planes and "they are not saying how many", this is as close he has come to saying the planes were Indian and now I think he is pressuring Modi on this as well as trade deal. Alan Warnes also said that PAF air chief explained why it took 2 months to confirm the 4th hull loss of Rafale....and that makes sense now.........AVM Aurangzeb began his second briefing with 6-0. Meaning 6 were confirmed shot down then and there.

Then 7th one, PAF had intelligence that it limped back to base only to be written off after confirming obviously through intel sources, the visits by Dassault team who would have declared it hull loss. Hence a solid 7 aircraft lost number is now valid. Same with US intelligence, they would have pretty much confirmed it as well.

If it is 5-6 Rafales they have a big problem now.

Essentially reduced to 1.5 Squadrons. If 30 airframes, and say availability is 75%, gives them only 22 odd planes to send into the fight.

PAF combined AESA/PL-15 force is around 30 Block3s and 25 J-10Cs. That is 55 odd planes.. At 75% availability, gives us around 40 planes.

Maybe shorter length (don't have the time to check) but sure not shorter range.
Meteor was not used, as said 100 x time, because Rafale was used for Air to Ground missions only during day 1.
But as the PAF jets were suddenly stealthy day 3 and 4, we may imagine they were fitted on, or you were short of air missiles.

And, please, find a way between you all about the number of Rafale grounded ! It goes from 1 to .... 5 and even more.

Sad reality is 1, just one, and no one here knows why.

But again I will insist to correct you that meteor was not used because PAF electric jamming didn't let it happen. Plus meteor was well enough out ranged by PL-15E.
IAF Rafales didn't even get chance to fire their meteors. After the first PL-15E struck on of Rafales it was just chaos on IAF side.
Every IAF pilot to his mates was screaming "bhaag Arjun bhaag". No one even remembered they had to fire any meteors.
