Chinese SAC - FC-31/J-35 5th Gen Stealth Aircraft

Is there any significance of the listed number under cockpit? The top one has "80"?
@iblini @Michael

That's a good question ... as it seems, we have now three confirmed naval J-35 aka serial 80, 81 and 93 and all three are "historical" relevant numbers.

As such - at least my guess - these are the allocated bort numbers for celebrations onyl:

80 to commemorate the 80th anniversary
81 standing for Ba Yi (1st August)
93 ?? I just forgot

Thanks for clarifying. So it's safe to assume that 80 to 93, 13 jets now exist? Or these are gap based numbers and only 3 exist?

my theory is, there are at least confirmed only three and these numbers are not allocated in a successive way as no. 80 to 93 - aka 13 aircraft so far - but more likely only 80, 81 & 93! (But I could be wrong)

YES. The PLA Navy doesn't have that many J-35s right now.

These three numbers have special significance.

80.
Commemorates the 80th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

81.
It represents the PLA. On August 1, 1927, the Chinese Communist Party launched an armed uprising in Nanchang, China. On June 30, 1933, the CCP decided that August 1st of each year would be Army Day.

93.
On August 15, 1945, Japan announced its surrender. On September 2, 1945, Japan formally signed the instrument of surrender, with General Xu Yongchang, then the ROC representative, signing the acceptance. In 1946, the ROC government officially designated September 3rd of each year as "Victory Day in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression." The PRC government was established in 1949. On August 1, 1951, Mao Zedong proclaimed September 3rd of each year as "Victory Day in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression," aligning with the ROC government's designation.

The J-35 fighter jet is featured in a commercial. J-35 fighter jet + Hongqi car.
This is a rare sight in China. Of course, only "Hongqi car" has the right to do so.

Will they rename the J-35 to say HQ-1000? Just joking. They are doing what Europeans usually do, they have commercials doing a race between Ferraris and Lamborghini's with Euro Fighter Tyhpoon and Tornado's, etc. It's nice.

If J35 has entered production why haven’t we seen it on the CAOTBAR test stations or even the carrier 003?

Is there any evidence of J35 with carrier activity ?

The carrier-based version of the J-35 has already been undergoing training at the PLA Navy's carrier-based aircraft training base, which is equipped with a comprehensive electromagnetic catapult and electromagnetic arresting system.

The Type 003 aircraft carrier has not yet entered service.
With these new numbers, how many do you reckon are in service? @Deino
The J-35 fighter jets we saw at the parade represent essentially the current total. There may be one or two additional J-35s in reserve.

This does not include J-35 fighter jets that have completed production but have not yet been handed over to the PLA.

What is the number?

No, total US 5th generation aircraft will exceed 1,000 before the end of the year. Total F-35 and F-22 fleet stands around 971 currently.
What about total gen 4 + gen 5? Around 2000?
