What we need now is stealth, stealth and stealth. 4th and 4.5 gen jets are becoming outdated very quickly. I still believe China and India are managing reasonably well. They have working relationships and, for the most part, are not challenging each other’s territories. The real friction lies at the political level. That’s still better than having no relationship at all.

This is why I often say Pakistan needs to learn how to deal with neighbors even when disputes exist and china is a big example here.Instead, Pakistan remains fixated on Kashmir. India tried to build better relations, but since Pakistan refused to move beyond Kashmir, India shifted to saying it would only talk about terrorism. When Pakistan showed no interest in that, talks broke down completely.

Now Pakistan says it wants dialogue, but India sees nothing new to discuss — only the same point repeated over and over.

1) Peace, from Chinese border issues to peace with Pakistan on permanent basis and a mechanism of dialogues ONLY. Peace has no other meaning. Must be accomplished.

2) SAFETY of CHINESE NATIONALS: India to immediately STOP all terrorism related activities in Baluchistan and must respect Chinese interests. Indian funded proxies like TTP and BLA have killed Chinese citizens and India uses them to negatively effect the CPEC project. That's major Chinese investment.

3) India to join BRI. The Chinese leaders have pointed out years of "uncommitted" behavior by the Indians in BRICS and SCO. So if India now wants to jump into "global south" it needs to show commitment to SCO by doing the above.

The Indo Pak conflict will never reach the full scale war like never PAF has cracked the code quite well. They stopped a full scale war by first neutralizing the IAF and than the S400.
People are hyping the shooting down of rafales too much it was actually the destruction of S400 systems at bhuj and Adampur that brought India to ceasefire. Destruction of S400 opened the Indian airspace for attacks with impunity. Had India not agreed for ceasefire the cost of war for them would have been too much.
Going forward the ARFC and PAF will coordinate the destruction of Indian IADs in opening hours, ensuring the Conflict doesn't go beyond a certain phase, India will always have a lot more to lose than pak.

No limited conflict is going to achieve broader Indian strategic goals even if the India somehow turns out to be the decisive winner.
