Foiny if Turkey does invade(its not looking to do that presently), Its not MBTs you will need to worry about, but Drone swarms and UGVs in mass, old school tank warfare is being phased out in place of low cost UGVs in Mass, coordinated by manned battle nodes.

In this matter, I would say in terms of Turkish manufacturing capacity and experience in Unmanned warfare, Turkey would have a significant qualitative and quantitative advantage.

First batch is in 2 years 14 piece, these will have Korean powerback. In 2027 they are going to deliver 41, 2028 30 pieces. After 2028 they will go for block2. Total they are going to make 165.

In short term this was a disaster project, in long term this is super project. We have now Engine industry what will be core supply for the navy in the future.

Engine manufacturing is a strategic investment that will pay back for sure.

Congrats to Turkieye on its success with this and associated programmes.

(Shame it is 65 tons, that is way too heavy for Pakistans region!)

The ZTZ-100 is equipped with an AI machine gun with excellent anti-drone capabilities. The tanks of the future will be anti-drone platforms, not drone prey.

Don't be fooled by the tanks in the Ukrainian battlefield, those are old toys that will soon be obsolete.

That's another problem,it's a big problem,but different. A land invasion of superior forces is also a very important matter though(Altay etc.)

Apparently,the Gepard has proven quite capable. The war in Ukraine has revived an interest in modern SPAAG. Think about it,SPAAG with good radars that can easily detect drones can be a quite good and cost-effective solution to protect assets in the battlefield.

The engine is more or less ready, the transmission is still in testing, They could do a half half approach like the Koreans did with their engine and then a renk transmission, until their transmission was read, but I think they prefer a full powerpack, so will use the Korean powerpack for the first batch.

Question: How much has the tank's exterior changed from the concepts 15 years ago?

I had predicted it would come in July August, but September is not bad, 1-2 months from my prediction but still quite a rapid page considering when the factory itself was being built.

Quite a lot actually. Extensively. while the engine issue was delaying the project, they went to work in indigenizing the rest of the components and also started adding new features from APS and other things.

Really?? Can you post pics? I'm curious. I remember back then I thought the tank was too massive. I can see it's still very big now,but it looks kind of very similar to what I remember from back then.
