Iran’s economy before and after switching from West to East is another clear example. The list goes on.

China is not the future because it lacks energy resources like the US and Canada, it lacks strategic allies, it lacks cultural influence to a level comparable to Europeans and the West will contain it eventually. The collective West is becoming more and more aggressive. Expect fascism to return.

But the main issue is this is not even a option the west is entertaining. Iraq and Afghanistan got rid of the west's taste for nation building, now they are only into nation destroying. SK, Japan, Europe were rebuilt in the context of an actively expanding USSR led bloc that threatened US hegemony. There is no need for a indebted US to dump investment into rebuilding Iran, there is no benefit to them.
Even if you don't like China, your other options are to keep begging for surrender and keep getting bombed or keep the status quo. Both are bad options in comparison.

No they didn't know Israel was going to attack their capital. But USA and UK knew it and they helped Israel to dodge Qatari Patriots and THAAD.
