Charlie Kirk was extremely popular with the young conservative crowd. Was a rising star in conservatism and well on his way to a political career. More people turned out for his rallies than they did Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

Well if the person has ability to attract large crowds , someone must have felt he was going to be a loose cannon down the road

Given everything I'm looking at right now from the campus maps and alleged positions, at 200 yards, the shooter would have been well outside whatever security cordon there was around Kirk. Remember, he doesn't have the detail the President does.

Would have to see more layouts of the building in particular for exits off the roof and proximity to nearest exits and parking lots. It just so happens (see screenshot below), there is a parking lot immediately behind the Losee Center:



I've placed X's where Kirk and the alleged shooting location were and circled the nearest parking lot.
