USA Rethinking the India-Pakistan Dynamic.

Indians purchase most of the Indian products. India has usually run a current account deficit that has been financed by a capital account surplus. There are enough foreign investors who want exposure to India's domestic market that we can afford to run trade deficits.

The US is an even more extreme example of this dynamic. There is no fundamental reason why any country must export as much or more than it imports.
You need to pay for other country products - either print USD by USA or earn it like rest of world

FPI, FDI and remittances can take care of that.

And, technically, the US cant print USD to monetize the deficit and federal debt, at this time, either. By law, the Fed is independent of the Treasury. If that changes, the dollar's reserve currency status will be at serious risk.

India will have to import $500 billion to run its economy. There is no way to hit $500 billion based on remmitances and FDI

The tariffs are not going to impact US exports by 500 billions dollars. The hit can be absorbed fairly easily. In the worst case, the government can issue ruble or dirham or RMB denominated bonds.

On the China front, Washington is waking up to the reality that Beijing is now a peer competitor, with economic and technological capabilities rivaling – and in some areas surpassing – the United States. At the same time, policymakers know the deep interconnectedness of the two economies cannot be unwound anytime soon, making it imperative for Washington and Beijing to find terms of coexistence. This recalibration, in turn, reduces India’s relative salience as a partner to offset U.S. dependency on China.

That's probably the main factor in America's rebalancing between India and Pakistan. While Trump is more crassly against India, even under the Biden administration, the cooling off relationship with India had started.
Pakistan is very lucky to have the Chinese firmly on Pakistan's side!

How India treated Bangladesh and the revelations of the abuses from the Hasina regime made US double down on their de-hyphenation with India.

This will be a process but they will follow through regardless of who the President will be.

Indians really screwed up.

I don't think their is a realignment. The americans and he west are extremely angry with india for showing how weak and incompetent they are by being militarily defeated by Pakistan. Their investments of trillions of dollars in trying to build up india as a bulwark against China failed spectacular and the west and america have NOTHING to show for it. The americans and the west are just acknowledging Pakistan for being able to defeat an enemy that is more than 7x bigger than Pakistan that was backed by america, the west, israel and russia. They feel they can have some transactional relationship with Pakistan.
Once written off the USA usually doesn't look back. It's like a judgement on a divorce case: as if the marriage hadn't taken place to begin with. It happened before with the South Vietnamese, Afghans etc.....

Which is why we need to remain cautious and ONLY maintain a transactional relationship with the americans.

As per Dr. Israr Ahmed (RA), the Christian powers are used by HIM to punish the transgressing Jewish and Muslim folks so that they return to their senses....

The US may have many grievances against India , but how India supported Hasina's so-called "abuses" is not one of them. The US has a long history of supporting repressive regimes n its own backyard and in the Muslim world. The US may not have liked Hasina cosying up to China and Russia, but even that is not a material factor in the India- US relationship. BD is just too insignificant to the US.

A Trump aid admitting that social media can be used to advance someone's agenda in the US.

More desperation from Indians.

They refuse to stop trading with America's enemies and want full benefit of an alliance. He goes on to talk about Pakistan, they are obsessed.

In India's world they can trade with whoever they want and US must not have a relationship with Pakistan. Who do these people think they are to dictate to them?
