Pakistan Aeronautical Complex signed largest export deal in Pakistan's history with Azerbaijan Air Force, Azernews reports.
The deal for JF-17C Block-III fighter jets was signed for $1.6bn, including aircraft, training and ammunition, Pakistani media reported.
The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) is a big company that produces airplanes and other things for the military in Pakistan. It was started in 1971 by the Pakistan Air Force. They make and fix airplanes for the Pakistani military and also for other countries.
They work with companies from Turkiye and China to make some of their products. The PAC also has businesses in other countries like Myanmar, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. In the past, the Pakistan Air Force realized that they needed a place to fix their airplanes instead of sending them to other countries. So, they made a factory called the Aircraft Rebuild Factory (ARF) in Kamra. They also made another factory called the Mirage Rebuild Factory (MRF) to fix a different kind of airplane. These factories were built with the help of experts from China and France.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan share deep defense ties following the signing of a military agreement between the two countries in 2003. This was followed by a decision to conduct joint military drills starting in 2016.
Pakistan has inked a $1.6 billion deal to export JF-17C Block-III warplanes to Azerbaijan, the country's largest order to supply defense equipment abroad, the South Caucasus nation's media reported on Thursday.
As part of the agreement, Azerbaijan would receive 8 JF-17C Block-III aircraft from Pakistan besides ammunition, including air-to-surface missiles.
The South Asian sovereign state would also train Azerbaijani military personnel in air combat.
This would mean that Azerbaijani troops would undertake sorties on the JF-17C Block-III under the supervision of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) servicemen.
With this Azerbaijan joins Myanmar and Nigeria as the other two nations that have acquired JF-17 Thunder jets from Pakistan.
Interestingly, Pakistan is among a handful of countries with diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan and its arch-foe Armenia.
However, the Islamic Republic has been one of the staunchest supporters of Baku in its conflict with Yerevan.
Armenia and Azerbaijan have been locked in a decades-long dispute over the Nagorno-Karabakh region which was administered by the former till September 2023 before the latter took complete control over it in January 2024.

Why do people not like him? The J-10 deal and raising of new squadron was done in his term. The PAF is a new force just compared to 4 yrs ago. Some people say he likes to show off, what about CAS before the last one, he was also very bold and forthcoming about what he was doing, and he was well liked amongst us enthusiasts.
New squadrons is a result of many years of planning not because of one person

What is this bs? It looks like this was written by a 10 yr old . This is all a farce to hide the corruption of the CAS. I think this all started from Wajahat Saeed Khans vlog in which he mentions that he was contacted by Paf and they mentioned to him that they have contract signed with Azerbaijan and Iraq

What's the update regarding inquiring into AVM Jawad and some others? Is the airforce on the path to be heavily involved in politics as well?
