I watched this video twice to fully understand what the general was saying. His main points will take the air out of 90% of what people are imagining in this thread.
1. The maximum Pakistan can do is put some boots in the ground in SA.
2. Pakistan can’t spare any fighter jets or pilots.
3. Even if Pakistan wanted to it can’t fly jets in SA without American permission.
4. The best the deal can do is provide China with an entry point into Saudi Arabia.
5. China can’t enter Saudi Arabia unless US is removed from the region.
6. The only worthwhile defense equipment Pakistan produces is JF-17 aircraft and some light firearms.
7. Pakistan nuke umbrella is probably not part of the agreement as that would bring the world against Pakistan.
8. If China enters the region it will bring Saudi Arabia and Iran together.
2) KSA doesn’t need Pakistani fighter jets or pilots; what they require is training in air combat operations, particularly in integrated, sensor-based air warfare.
3) 4) and 5)
China has long been a military partner of KSA. In the 1980s Saudi Arabia imported the DF-3A, a heavy MRBM, and in 2018 it acquired the DF-21. These procurements blatantly violated MTCR protocols, a serious offense. And what was Washington’s response? Absolutely nothing.
Both KSA and China hold tremendous economic leverage over the United States, leverage they can and do exert to secure their strategic interests.
6) Fateh 1, Fateh 2 & 3 , SH-15 , there are plenty of military equipment Pakistan can provide to KSA.
7). It probably is and Infact it always has been but never formalized uptil now.
8) Like i said earlier, Iran is out of the middle east equation for the
foreseeable future, its regime is focusing on survival at the moment.
