Respectfully I disagree. Despite Afghanistan being much weaker in every way...
...Pakistan CANNOT invade, occupy, and annex it.

Various factors are involved...like international pressure, possible sanctions, Indian threat on the eastern border while Pakistan is busy at the western border...
...and most importantly all of Afghanistan's different factions banding together to resist...causing a widespread militancy.
I don't think Pakistan has the economic capacity to sustain a huge separatist movement...while trying to invade and hold a large chunk of territory...it will constantly be a drain on resources...and backing out once started would be an embarrassment and make u look weak ...all the while India will use that to keep pressure on the eastern border. Imagine the results on Pak's already fragile economy.

US clout, firepower, and money...
...along with that window of opportunity was needed to have the slightest chance of making that happen and that ship has sailed.

Pakistan will deploy 50,000 troops in Saudi Arabia. The defence of Makkah and Madinah will be the sole responsibility of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Pakistan will also establish five missile regiments and set up a modern air-defence system. An air-communication system will be established — for this, Pakistan has already struck a deal to buy twenty satellites from China at a cost of $406 million. New airbases will also be built.

Pakistan will play a role in protecting Saudi oil-supply routes. A Pakistan-Saudi joint command-and-control system will be created. Through the air-communication system the whole region will be monitored. Missile regiments will include ballistic and cruise missiles as well as the Ababeel missile, which can engage 13 targets simultaneously.

Pakistani JF-17 Thunder and J-10C aircraft will also be integrated into the Saudi Air Force. In the event one country is attacked, there will be no need to request assistance from the other — under the joint command-and-control system both countries’ forces will move together.

A delegation of Pakistani officials will arrive in Saudi Arabia in a few days to begin work. The entire plan is expected to be completed within one year, God willing.

On the contrary when India launched Operation Sindoor, who was it that stood up to the challenge & who was it that ‘punctured quick’. All those top jets of IAF that got swatted like flies all over N.West India, had more than just punctures no?
As for the Saudi pact that’s burning deep in your butt, be happy in the fact that it only came about because of how badly Pakistan battered India.

What is a "supa pawa" supposed to do?

Strategically they are as relevant now as say Brazil,, Sweden or South Africa.
Good economies, but basically ignored on the global stage....

Brazil is the major South American nation

Sweden can actually create indigenous military tech and capability that India is not near (gripen?), as well as more sophisticated technology

And South Africa is nicely heading up the global South


India still has a huge footprint in global IT services, but that was under threat from AI anyway, unfortunately the last 25 years the Indian narrative has been "could be China" now it may be "can't be china"

That being said, if sensible Indian partners here can finally wake up and realize that South Asia kind of has a shared interconnected trajectory, as things are. What are they going to do with 1.5 billion people?

Or Pakistan with 300m.

Up until a year ago intelligent Indians even thought global manufacturing would transition and India would replicate china but 20 years behind

The idiotic irony is you need globalization to be predominant, china is championing this and India doesn't know what to do, appease USA or concede to Chinese led growth.

The whole world going protectionist is not great for India.

You need globalization, you need to appease protectionist trump and you want to be non aligned as global conflict is increasing sharply


Pakistan has to make hard societal changes, the elites need to open their minds and hearts to the middle class

India made a "back door contact" with Saudia and Pakistan yesterday in KSA. They are pissing in their pants due to this H1B tactical nuke Trump has dropped on them. I've said it before many times since May, if they upset West and Trump more, Trump / West can take their arrogant behavior and literally do things like this H1B to shrink Indian economy down to $3 Trillion and cap it between $2.5-3 trillion for a long while.

And now this song and dance has started, India has "unofficially" reached out to both Saudia and Pakistan and told them to not impact it's labor force working in KSA as well as to continue on with KSA's investments in India. They don't have any issues with the strategic defense pact.

With India's current situation with USA, West and it's growth, every billion going into India is meant a lot because through H1B alone, they will be losing nearly $50-75 billion annually. While their FDI has dropped 96% this year already and US has put more tariffs on Indian products. They've conveyed that they don't want to keep an aggressive posture towards Pakistan and this defense deal doesn't effect them.

Moral of the story for all nations: Never bark at your master! And never become too arrogant with some imaginary power that isn't there in real life.
