Aerospace grade aluminum alloys are what's used much more. Steels were used for some legacy rocket motor casings. We have a lot of capability to treat aluminum alloys but no Aerospace grade alloy production that I know of. Not sure if aluminum alloy production is feasible for Pakistan. Do we even have significant Bauxite deposits?

I had heard Hubco is considering aluminum smelting as pivot from IPP by utilizing its power plants for the energy intensive industry.

That's the scale that would incentivize the local players to get into aerospace steel, especially if we make it easier for private investors to enter the picture.

An example of this would be the People’s Steel Mill in Karachi, which is perhaps the first example of an industrial unit being attached to a defence R&D organization, in this case KRL (back in the AQ Khan era) and undertook local maraging steel production for the gas centrifuge development program. I remember reading an article by Dr A Q Khan in which he mentioned that the PSM was an ailing public sector enterprise with a capability/specialty in various alloys and steels and therefore, the govt attached it to KRL for maraging steel production.
The PSM still exists (and is probably attached to SPD and works closely with other defense orgs) and has a portfolio of specialty steels and alloys and the opportunity and some of the infrastructure and institutional knowledge probably exists to diversify into aerospace grade aluminum alloys, warship grade steel and so on.

As for bauxite reserves, Pakistan does have them in the Khushab region but I’m not sure about how economically viable it would be to mine it and about the quality (alumina content) in the ore and whether it would be suitable for aerospace grade aluminum alloys

Whether India goes for more Rafale or Su 57..or both...
...J10 and J35 can match them both if not exceed in their respective categories of 4th and 5th gen.

That's just the basic jet vs jet on paper comparison. The rest comes down to tactics, doctrine, weapon ranges, data fusion, net centricity(for targeting, guidance), other systems like AWACS, Jammers, and air defense systems that may force an air force to keep a distance, etc.

If past few skirmishes are anything to go by...PAF will be fine.

Rafale isn't a threat, 175 of them are very easy targets for the 20 J-10Cs which also have better aircraft availability rates and better sortie-generation rates than Rafales, and are also better protected by air defence systems to prevent a cruise/ballistic missile to punch holes through their hangars, Rafales meanwhile can be easily destroyed in their hangars due to poor Indian air defence system which doesn't even have dedicated ballistic missile defence which they enjoy.

On top of it Navy might order 31 more of Ra-fails to complete requirement for 57 of MRCBFs as TEDBF has no future, not to mention entire INS Vikrant CBG can be easily sunk as well. We're doomed.

8-0 is the score, IAF and IN will always remain grounded and remain hidden far away.
