Then I had a literal monologue on the need for Pakistan to be confrontational, to be hawkish, to not restrain itself, and a sense of how to do it economically and politically...

Pakistanis be like: "FoReIgN iNteLLiJeNsE."

However, we got DM'ed some really positive and encouraging messages, including from retired AMs, ACs, a Brigadier, a serving PM, and former advisors.

So, among the people who DO matter, we've got an open ear, and that's all I care about.

Just to clarify I don't know if for certain he was talking about Quwa, it's entirely possible it's a completely different incident and they do have evidence pointing to the individual being dodgy.

(We've seen similar incidents like this in Iran where the female journalist slowly worked her way up to Iran's top elite – so it's not completely out of the realm of possibility, and some foreign analysts do have close relations, for example take Alan Warnes, not to say he's doing anything wrong but as an example)

But yeah the boomer-villager type of mentality where they mistake their weird extreme isolationist behaviour or curtailing basic open discussions as top-tier OPSEC – and in the process probably fail at where OPSEC truly matters – and the general insular resistant to change/improvement is strong at times.

Yep, but the mentality is changing.

E.g., older retired uncles will ask, "Where do you get your information?" (obviously trying to pin down some secret source or whatever).

OTOH, the recently retired or superseded officers will ask, "What books can I read? Did you read ABC, what did you think? Can you point me to good publications? Yes, I know you read X book, but I disagree with that author because of 1,2,3."

That's the difference.

Good informative podcasts.
Couple of suggestions

1. Panelists should be visible. It makes connection with audience.
2. Caption text should be lowercase, it is easier read.
3. Should stick to title topic.
4. Make it short, 30 min should be good to keep attention span intact. I would say not more than 25 min. If needed make another podcast for another day. Podcasts can be made in episodes. Like Hangor weapon system podcast 1, and so forth.

The latest episode was a banger, not because it discussed any military armament. But purely because it talked about the elephant in the room! The circus and the clown show that runs the affairs of the state.

It was a much needed topic to be brought under the microscope.

I liked that we had a realisation that we need Rockets/Missiles etc, before the nuclear deterrence, and PAF cannot save PA in all operational theatres, at all times.

in this region, south asia. The Ego is everything, and if you get your ego nurtured and massaged then it makes you arrogant. Like Ittifaq foundry girder is in your neck.

nukes are an ego, we have 'atam bumb' and that was a huge ego boost. But that ego was massaged at the cost of poor planning and kinetic conventional firepower.

The world has changed so rapidly that using 'atam bumb' is not going to be appreciated by the global community.

on a lighter note, I noticed that regardless of the topic and the thumbnail all podcasts seem to steer to air force and jets. e.g. the video about the submarines moved to air force again. And I didn't get much insight about them or as much I wanted.

Or maybe its me although I am not complaining just point it out as a listener.
re questions or suggestions see if you can cover the air defense challenges.

defence against low tech FPV drones launched by BLA and TTP and then India and viable solutions to replace our legacy AAK AAK guns with smart guns that are economical to operate and efficient for both low end and high end roles like firing smart / AHEAD munitions to just an artillery barrage for area denial and taking out of drones and missiles. we got 20mm and 37mm Orliken gun systems that are filmed my civilians in Lahore as well but there is not enough footage but I would really like all three services to phase out the vintage 37MM twin barrel and 14.5mm Quad type 56 based on Soviet SPU. they should be given to either FF, Levies or Janbaz forces or to other countries. they make the bulk of the arsenal of the Pakistan air defense Corps , only good for drones or in ground role for personnel and light vehicles. (they been used against TTP by our remote check posts). Turkey has made something similar to the German Rheinmetall Air Defence guns, they fire smart munitions with proximity fuse that splits the projectile at the programed distance into a spiral destroying any small or media object.

this overhaul is needed to all three services. I am not talking RBS 70, singer and other manpads and bigger SAM systems. I am talking about the conventional AAK AAK guns, that offer better solution against the low flying / incoming projectiles of differing speeds.

why modernization of AAK AAK artillery? its more cost effective and efficient. will achieve better results with less number of rounds fired. number of replaced units may remain but their efficiency and effectiveness will increase. for very sensitive installations and command centers depots and storages , apart from electronic warfare pieces used in defensive mode to disrupt the incoming missiles, I guess some version of C-RAM system is also needed , they do look very Hollywood but their application is practical and are staple CIWS for ships defenses.
