What happened to the Gaza Drone?
Did they really think that it would reach Israel intact for real?
Gaza drone wasn't supposed to reach Israel, ridiculous propaganda aside. But Shahed-171/191 should have...

I don't think that even a single Shahed-171/191 with the announced specifications has been built.

Shahed-191 has but Shahed-171 probably not... there's no point building a LO drone without the required engine and subsystems. it's just a vaguely LO shell

Who builds a drone with an operational radius of 2,500 km, 21m wingspan and turboprop engine to fight insurgency or for patrolling? lol
America Israel and etc these drones really have shown they can’t be used outside low intensity conflicts unless stealth kind of obsolete

From Mashhad to Zahedan some Gaza drones can patrol during hours and armed to keep any terrorist cell far from the frontier.

Also this drone is excellent for patrolling during hours Gulf of Omán or even inside PG to locate and track marine traffic (gasoline/oil smuggling).

You´re right. The problem it is when you use them against israelis or contested airspace.

what happened to Karrar ?

We would never know if they were employed in combat during 12 days war. And if they were, we would hardly know which were their performance against manned aircraft. Anyway you can guess a poor performance when you employ them against armed high end F15/16 or even F35 all of them armed with AIM120. Those would be suitable against helicopters, but against some of the best western aircraft they´re doomed.

They can be highly useful for point-defense if

- Operates under datalink from a long range Search-Track FCR (airborne or Ground)
- Armed with ARH-BVR or FnF HOBS with max range.

They showed one of the models with datalink antenna but I am not sure who provides the search track cues to it. Also the weapon is still a low range missile because currently the IIR seeker on the missile has to track the target itself. This is why R-73 on F-14 was never pursued. Without Target data the missiles range reduced from 35 KM to barely 10-15 KM.

In this next war, do you guys think it's possible to saturate Iraqi airspace with enough waves of cheap drones equipped air to air missiles, to throw Israeli jets off?

Get them to stay busy shooting down these drones, complicating any strike package.

some photos released by Israel showed fighter jets with no AAMs ... so why not flood NW Iran / Iraq with Karrar drones with AAMs

Those photos just show how poor the qualities of the Iranian Airforce are, such that in an active war and combat area, that Israeli jets feel comfortable enough to operate without any kind of AAMs for self defence, let alone offensive operations.

This is how Israel is able to get jets to fly over Iran, by stripping them down to just fuel and bombs and nothing else.

The sheer presence of a "credible" Iranian Airforce that poses some kind of threat, will force these jets to carry more self defence equipment, which would massively reduce the tempo and flow of jets to Iran and therefore the overall damage the IDF IAF can do.

Russia just opened the largest drone factory in Yelebuga SEZ in Tartaristan and Muslims work there

this juggernaut produces over 500 drones per day

the Geran 1 is copy of Iranian drones

I really hope Iran can do something similar

it's a simple equation , does Iran have more offensive capabilities than Israel has defensive ?

if so then Iran can hurt Israel

Hopefully Iran is keeping up and diversifying .

not clear if this is intentional or if the drone simply glides to the target after it runs out of fuel

Has anybody on the planet seen the mysterious S-136b? Any news?

They've paraded this thing a few years ago.......but it has vanished in the online ether.
