Nothing wrong with plane, and more follow up orders as IAF wants to replace Mig21, Jags and even Mirages with Tejas. Migs gone and next 5-7 years others life span is also coming to an end.

On a side note, HAL have told so many lies that they have given up on telling the truth and live on excuses. These guys have no pride in whatever they do, Modi should have given them big danda where sun doesn’t shine with last missed deadline. Would love to see their project management risk register and what the F**K they tell in their monthly progress meetings to higher ups.

There are two issues with handing over MK1A to IAF, one is slow engine deliveries from GE, and equally important one is a critical component from Denmark, which has something to do with performance diagnostic in GE F404, and guess what, it was embargoed by Danes. Slow deliveries actually helped them in saving face, without that component, they wouldn’t be able to handover the jets to IAF.

It'll take some time to indigenise that component, however I have read somewhere that they have now lifted the embargo and that component will be soon available to HAL on regular basis

And is seen in numbers with more Rafales and su30mki in combat patrols and excercises en mass you will have face ridicule ...

The issue I have it's was I'll.conceived and since intial planned operational.role air ware has changed so much it's effectiveness will be limited by size

Short range
Can't carry heavy long range missiles beyond 200km ranges
And substantial loads
USA engine sanction prone

But we live and learn
Imo
Leave induction after 2032 and use as squadron fillers for 120 planes only
Get the Rafale orders on now
Interim su57 order too fir 60 planes
Amca is huge by 2035
Cancel mark two Tejas as we will have 150 french Rafales by 2035 any way
Upgrade half Mki fleet to super mki

They can simply look up specs.
Although from a distributed antenna perspective SPECTRA still has better coverage because it was designed from inception within the Rafale.

However, at the end of the day it was never some mythical system that could never be overtaken in capabilities.
It has its own growth path and possible might be be able to provide additional capabilities post lesson from engagement to negate PL-15 advantages.
