Don't see how that is relevant to this post - but I think we all agree Mr. Asif is a loose cannon - as for the downing of Indian aircraft don't take Mr. Asif's word for it.. Oh what is this, what did Mr. Trump say today?

No sit down and drink some tea.

This man Trump literally said U.S cities should be used as training grounds for the military and no American even seems to care. For people who claim to be America first, the maga party seems desperate to start a civil war to kill Americans. Who am I kidding though, I don't think they see anyone who's not their type of white to be American.

ya bhudda bhosri ka koi bara seen part karna wala Pakistan ka sath....why every time addressing India, it ends up linked with Pakistan, I don't understand ....Every speech he increases one plane...

Well the Narrative is being constructed against Pakistan it is for sure. Before any action is done , a narrative build up is typically done

it is a bit unusual why Khawaja Asif is giving so many interviews suddenly .

Why the Narrative was needed ? Because Saudi-Pakistan defence Pact , Nuclear Tech share and , Shared defence priorities
It sent shock-waves, across certain segment of world
  • The shock-wave has been tried to be downplayed, with talk of buddy buddy , pact

If TV anchor asks , where is the Wreckage ?

Answer should be simple

"We are in business to safe guard our airspace , we don't go find Rafale graves, when our Missile hits the Target , we know what happened based on expert opinion on our side"

It is sufficient that the other party , remembers the outcomes and focus on not overstepping the boundaries established

Considering India-Pakistan conflict happened a while back , really don't understand the logic of bringing that to the front again in Media

And why not share his vision. Virtually every SecDef has a vision.

I find it odd how people laugh at Hegseth yet unlike Panetta, Hegseth has actual experience. There have been other SecDefs who were of similar rank to Hegseth and they were called "brilliant choices" at the time along with the couple of civilians who served as SecDef.

For now, he's the boss. The short colonel can either get on board or retire. I know a couple O-4s and an O-5 who chose to retire because they weren't into all that DEI crap that was being forced upon them.

Some folks I know told me about early retirement also. They say they didn't sign up for DEI work. Secondly, they said among O-7's even, there is consensus that they aren't America's police.

SecWar has a plan, which if actually in tune with the 21st century war. They want the middle east conflict of Palestine settle for good, Islamic military alliance to take control of Gaza and ensure peace so the US military can focus on containing China in the Pacific and Russia on the other side.

Not sure if it was you or someone, I had a discussion before and I think the job SecDef should not have any military experience at all, that post is (or was) supposed to be a civilian oversight of the miltiary, we are not a military junta, we don't need or require a military supervision of the military, if this is a civilian matter, then it only make sense if the head of that department was a civilian.

SecDef is about National Defence Policy, not necessarily the control and direct management of the Armed Forces. And this problem was highlighted when the UK promoted Penny Mordaunt to become Secretary of State for Defence when she achieve a rank of Sub-Lieutenant, and subsequently bumped her rank to a Captain (that's a 5 rank jump)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_Mordaunt

That said, if you are completely alright with what Hagseth said last night, well.....
I do believe it was me you were having that discussion with. Was merely pointing out to RR when he mentioned that Hegseth was only a major that there have been others of similar rank or even less. There are pros and cons both ways; a civilian SecDef vs. one who served. In the case of the civilian, that civilian needs to be a damn good manager and not just a political flunky, which some of them absolutely have been. The SecDef is already surrounded by good leaders, or should be.

The issue though as I see it is, and this started back during the first term of the Obama administration, is the move away from the core mission to being a social experiment and DEI. How many of those officers and CSMs sitting there today do you think were the field grade officers and junior sergeants 12-15 years ago? Probably a good majority.

As noted earlier in the day, I didn't listen to the speeches. Was planning to wait for the transcripts to come out.

I know of 2 O-4s and an O-5 who all took retirement when they had the chance during the Biden administration. All because they couldn't deal with all the DEI, touchy-feely, don't hurt their feelings policies that were coming down.

There are millions of Americans living on paycheck to paycheck and here my boi Pete calls 800+ Generals from all over the world to tell them Go Woke Go Broke, there are only 2 genders and say no to Diversity... bruh say that on a video conference lol

I agree. Military folks are trained in a certain way, to fight a war. They don't necessarily know how to react to political and emotional sensitivities.
