Afghanistan: General News and Discussion

Yesterday’s enemy today’s friend and yesterday’s friend today’s enemy. Looks like changing dance partners with Pakistan’s overtures to Northern Alliance.

India must fulfill the contractual agreements made with the state of Afghanistan.

No complaints - they have every right to play smart here - building ties with who were supposed to be our "strategic assets".
I believe Iran is a more natural and suitable partner for Pakistan and we should pursue our relations to greater heights. Iran was one of the first countries to recognize Pakistan and even supported Pakistan in the 1965 war by providing access to its air bases. Moreover, Iran offers an overland bridge to Turkey, Azerbaijan, and parts of Central Asia to expand our economic outreach. Iran and Pakistan also share concerns about instability stemming from Afghanistan, and I think durable peace will require firm, coordinated policies on cross-border security and migration.

Question: why would these lazy idiots sitting in Pakistan allow an Afghan plane carrying a terrorist to fly through its airspace to india??

I wonder if India will raise the lack of female education in Afghanistan

Also, part of being a normal nation Afghanistan will have to start to do these things

I think it's in Pakistan's interest Afghanistan diversifies,

Thank Naseerullah Babar, these were "his boys".

That's not the point...every nation does what is in its interest..that's a no brainer.

The issue is...Indians here act "holier than thou"...ignoring this reality as above. They supported anti Taliban factions in Afghanistan(who are just as militant and warlord types as Taliban) and lectured us that Pakistan supports terrorists and differentiates between good Taliban and bad Taliban.
...this kind of hypocrisy is a constant...and u see it everywhere. They support anti state militancy in Pakistan...and call it "self created"...and when anti state militant groups attack India...then all of a sudden it's Pakistan that is to blame for "terrorism".

The poster above is shoving their faces in their own hypocrisy...these hypocrites should be asked...now who is "differentiating between good Taliban and bad Taliban?"

What are they going to discuss? Trade? Defense? Exchange programs? I would suggest indians should seek taliban building and statue demolishing skills, Taj Mahal needs to be erased after all. In return india should stop Trump from taking back bagram air base.

So India has changed it's mind and believes in good taliban.

Its almost like hypocrisy runs through India's foreign policy.
More like bad Taliban isn't going anywhere and we have no other option but to deal with them

The issue is...Indians here act "holier than thou"
If a "moral" justification is all that you crave then here you go.
The Indian Position is simple, we opposed Taliban in the past because they are terrorists but now that the same terrorists are in power, for the betterment of the people of Afghanistan we have no other option but to deal with Taliban diplomatically so that our humanitarian commitments made to the people of Afghanistan such as schools dams etc could be completed
