PAF F-16 | Discussions

The one engagement I'm aware of....the MiG-25 had no clue there was a Viper under him for minutes until the Viper turned on his AIM-9L to active tone....
Interesting. How would that alert the Mig though, or is it due to using the radar to que the seeker?

By the way, this video is a couple of days old. I asked my contacts in the PAF & they said that Sethi sahab nay bus aik hawai fire kar deya.

There are NO Turkish Viper talks (period).

For reference

AIM120D/C8 is the same missile, there is some software differences but both have the same 160km+ range and both are being continuously upgraded.

PAF does it again.

But all deliveries to be completed by 2030...

One has to wonder where we stand in the queue.

So how many Vs might we see come to the PAF?

I reckon the PAF"s order is quite small in this contract, no more than 25 units IMHO.

But even so, that would be enough for initial configuration work and training (especially if inert missiles are included). The bare minimum here is that CCS at least gets a very good spec for DACT, but this isn't the bare minimum.

In all likelihood, the PAF did negotiate some type of F-16V deal - at least an upgrade to the Block-52s - and potentially some additional new units with the US recently (ACM Babar visited the US State Department). Regardless of the broader shift to China, the PAF will at least want all of its fighters to be equipped with AESA radars and a more modern AESA-based ECM.

So, we should hear of a bigger AMRAAM deal down the line via DSCA.

I don't see anything that hints at us actually getting any Vipers.

Nor have I seen anything to indicate that we're getting upgrades for the ones we have.

If anyone has further info that I may have missed, do share...
